Looks like I'm gettin a new tune

Hey all, I've posted a few times about my track issues.....my problem is getting outta the hole.....my best run is a 11.9 @ 118 w/ 1.8 60ft.
Renntech tune
Charcoal delete
K&n drop in
2nd cats n res. Removed..
M/T street IIs
.......I just can't get outta the hole for a better 60 ft.......and that delay to 20mph is horrible....I've tried power breaking at all different rpms and no rpms for launch.....different air pressures in my tires and even tried 100oct.....

I bought the car with the tune already installed I'm just wondering if this tune is just out dated or a conservative tune. After reading tunes from companies like mhp who say a tune only, reached an 11.6 at the track I'm wondering how I can be so far off? I race regularly at the track and have tried over n over.....*Atco raceway, n.j.*....maybe it's just time for a fresh tune.

Does anyone have recommendations or suggestions for a good tune.....

Your tune is fine 118 mph is solid you just need to let the car adapt to the launching once u get 8-9 passes in the bog u get to 4k will go away.

Thats a solid time without headers, could probably do a bit better at launching. My 60 was 1.9 with 12.1 pass on PSS and i couldnt get any better than that. You should be closer to 11.7 with the M/T's

you need to add headers and your mph will raise

Well this summer / fall alone I've been to the track about 12 times with easily 40 passes, never ran better than 11.9..... And shockingly that time was with street tires spinning a little in first, avg. Times with the slicks is 12.0-12.2.
I like how MHP advertises that they tune the torque converter and tb delay.....(what the website says)
The tune is fine, yes.....a/f ratios are good and a very smooth power band when I put her on the dyno which made 383 when weather corrected and load added......I think it was like 426 uncorrected. I just feel that MHP can offer a little more than renntech has.
I also added the k&n filters and took out the resonators and 2nd cats after there was a tune on it so maybe that threw it off? But I doubt it cause those aren't major mods.....

HEADERS I would absolutely love to do but....I'm not really trying to go all that into it. I love the car as it is and really not many people I know or race with beat me.......only my buddy and his brother with a CTS v and a g8 with an lsa blower beat me lol But than again both of them are pushing close to 600 wheel lol

I think a retune will really do nothing for you. You need to accept 10.8 on a pretty much otherwise stock n/a 4dr sedan is nothing to be unhappy about. trying to set records without being a tuner company isnt going to be happening.

FYI MHP does NOT tune all he does Is have u send money to him and he will send your ecu to someone else to flash it and most likely since your already tuned he won't even send it out to tune it at all just send it back to you and take your money and have a nice day.
Stay away from MHP. Do your research before sending any money to Andy or anyone at MHP.
MHP = SCAM.

Go with eurocharged or OEtuning. And, I have to agree. Headers are a must on this car. They really wake things up. My car as is with longtubes and OE Tune running ms109 with Hoosier's I'm running 11.0-11.1. Trapping about 126.

I do. haven't posted them here, since I figure most guys don't care to drag race their cars anymore. Lotta cf and res deleting talk on these forums haha. My 60 1.7 and my 1/8 was 7.2. Im trying to hopefully get into the 10's in a NA setup.

Dayummmmmm...... headers are questionable for me, maybe down the line but,for right now I just wanna stay where I'm at.......but I'll look into eurocharged a little more, also thanks for all the feedback guys. Anyone from Jersey? And race down in atco or English town?

I have OE and EC...both are good, not gonna lie though...EC V5 downshifts on 2nd cat delete is loud as ***..I took it off for the winter lol, running OE now, honestly OE is a tad quicker in my opinion, but i do miss the downshifts

For you guys with v5 and OE do either of those tunes play with the stall converter.....or better yet what does EUROcharged target when they install they're software....obvious a/f ratio, timing, speed limiter, etc......but what about throttle body delays, torque converter, I can't find a list
