We'll find out I guess. I have no clue now that you bring up the point. RB won't sell just the bracket if I'm not mistaken though.

That's what I've heard as well. And really, why should they? They have a BBK kit, they put a lot of work into research and development of it, so I would keep the bracket as part of the set also from a business perspective.

What I found a little messed up is the posting of plans for a potential group buy, to basically shortcut the RB BBK by purchasing the adapter elsewhere (and then I guess cobbling together the other parts from other sources), in their thread.

I mean, show a little consideration.

Ooops, thought it was general discussion thread.

Didn't know it was specifically for "Racing Brake"

I not only hear you, but I agree. If they don't want to sell them separately, there's no reason to push the issue. They have the right.

Thank you for your understanding and support. System compatibility and performance integrity is how RB brakes differentiate from others.

Parts and idea can be copied but not knowledge and expertise.

I can vouch for Racing Brake. Several years ago, I owned a 09 ML C63AMG bulldog. The previous owner had modded the Benz: resonator removal, s/w upgrade, ForgeStar 10 spoke wheels and the two-piece rotors from Racing Brake. I had several great discussions with these guys. Good Stuff!!!

Thank you for the endorsement. Here are some examples why Dodge Viper owners (both street and track drivers) put their trust on RB brakes because we don't just copy the parts like others we make them better - Better than OE.

Brake Job Rotor Now Contacts the Brake Caliper - RB front two piece rotors (for G1/G2) correct the OE rotor offset, so now the rotor will not contact the caliper.

Racing Brakes Rear Bias Kit Evaluation
- RB rear caliper kits correct the OE brake balance (for G3, G4, G5), so now the rear end will not wiggle when braking hard on track.

The weather forecast for Cincinnati says snow and lows in the mid teens next week, so I swapped the RacingBrake front rotors out for the OEM rotors today. I am running 18 inch winter wheels and therefore I have winter tires and winter brakes, oh well.
I have been driving the RacingBrake front rotors now since March, on track days (NCM, Watkins Glen) and as a daily all the time. They sure can take a beating and are hard. As you can see from the pics, they do not wear until they become too thin. They start developing cracks (very typical for racing brakes). Over time those cracks get longer and combine. Once they reach the outer edges of the disk it's time to renew. These rotors would have lasted a bit longer, but not much.
I will get new rings over winter and put the new ones on in spring again.
By the way - in normal street driving (without beating the crap out of them on track) you wouldn't get to that condition probably ever, or at least not for years. It is extreme heat cycling that does that.

I just upgraded to 19's from 18's and I got a few months left before brakes. Would I need to get a 19 spare wheel for it to fit over the larger brakes? If so does anyone know a part number

Let's try this again. If I upgrade to these brakes, would my spare fit over them or would I need a new spare. Does the BS come with a spare, p/n?

As BLKROKT mentioned, your stock non-BS C63 spare will not clear the new position of the front calipers.

I had previously asked the same question as you: https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...imensions.html
The BS C63 spare seems to be the same as the one used in E63, etc

RB doesn't sell the bracket by itself.

Luckily I have a pair for sale, PM me if you're interested!

They will, for sure, dramatically improve your C63 both in braking performance and look.

.
If reusing the stock calipers, the indrease in brake torque going from 360 to 380 mm rotor is exactly 5.6%

I don't know how you define " dramatically improve your C63 braking performance " , but 5.6% is not huge too me.

It's all about looks.

What about heat dissipation?

If you do track day's you will notice, but for daily driving, you will not notice any difference.

A further problem, is keeping the rotors clean. The bigger brakes will require less pedal pressure, and the rotors will slowly get a Traffic film on the surface ( pulse braking ), so that you to avoid that, have to constantly step harder on the brakes. This will also increase tire wear.

Winter driving will be even more difficult.

Winter driving is not at all difficult with the RacingBrake BBK. That’s just retarded. In fact your entire statement above is nonsensical. Traffic film, pulse braking... GTFOH.

And it’s about more than looks. My RB front rotors survived over 3 years of hard track abuse, the rears are still going. Fantastic upgrade.

This is incorrect. It is an increase from 360 to 390mm.

In addition, ALL aspects of braking performance are significantly improved with the Racing Brake BS BBK over OEM.

Racing Brake, if you are listening, kindly requesting a Group Buy for your Black Series sized Rotors (Fronts & Rears), please!

It's time for new Rotors for many of us, especially for those who installed your bada$$ Black Series BBK

AND his math is totally wrong.

Look at a brake rotor assembly.

Yes, the rotor ring is 390mm in diameter. But the first, call it half of the radius for easy calc is the hat. Total area is = pi *r^2. To find the braking surface area you need to subtract the hat area. So a 30mm total diameter increase should give you a massive % increase in braking surface area.

So the total 360mm rotor area is = 101,788 sq mm
A hat area of 180mm is = 25,447 sq mm
For a braking surface area of = 76,341 sq mm

Doing the same math for a 390mm rotor you get a braking surface area of = 94,013

Doing more math (I know it’s hard)....

The 390mm rotor has almost 25% greater braking surface area than the 360mm rotor

And that was using a very rough calc. The hat assembly is more like 3/5 of the total radius. I bet the true increase is something like 30%.

So the guy is just incorrect in every way possible.

It’s not just that... the Caliper gets increased torque from being place further out from the center of rotation of the wheel... so you have an increase in clamping torque in relation to the hub which you will definitely notice
