Check engine and engine rattles
Update 1 while idle there is a strong smell of gasoline

Probably one of the reason you have that gasoline smell.
As for the powertrain codes I have no ideas
Misfires also will result in unburnt fuel
You can swap the maf's and if the codes follow then you know
If they don't probably good
The fact that you are not getting plausabilty errors for either sensor makes me think loose airbox?
Unmetered air would cause the ecu to over fuel because the O2 would read lean

I would clean the maf with the crc cleaner (most parts stores)
Does anyone know how the cylinders sre numbered?
From front the left side is 1-4 by convention but not sure?

btw the place I live has a lot of snow but the weather is good recently so everything melt into mud, does this have something to do with it?

I recently changed my filters to K&N, and when i was taking OEMs out, there was debris in mine, i thought it was bad, but looking at your pics, mine was clean in comparison!
I think this is what may be causing your problem.
Throw those filters out and go get some new stock ones. Clean the boxes, clean the mafs.
Your 02 sensors are probably screwed. Do you have exhaust mods? Parts source should have primary O2 sensors call them, that's where I got mine.
These cars run continuous closed loop feedback from the o2s, if they are screwed up car won't run worth a damn.
Pull your spark plugs as well, they are probably fouled now and will need a cleaning or new ones.
What millage is your car at... Might be sparkplug or coil time.
Mercedes intakes are famous for collecting crap... Because there are no 90 degree turns in the system to trap debris (but, 90's also hinder flow as the air must change vectors), everything goes directly in and culminates at the filter.

his other faults clear when they are removed
the faults are only 1 bank
I'm guessing a short due to moisture based on the codes when the maf is plugged in
unrelated? speed control, manifold flaps, power steering, fuel level, intake heater???
I would put the car in a dry heated space and start cleaning connectors
that's just me
Spark plugs were changed today and coil are swapped but cylinder 7 and 8 still misfire and car sounds like its choked on something and its about to die. When the MAFs are unplugged the car sounds way better but still rattles a lot. Will try new MAFs tomorrow. The shop think its possible cam solenoid sensors.

And they still misfire?
Probably not coils
Did the other codes go away? Steering, intake heater etc ?
Smoothed out with maf disconnect but still lumpy
New filters? Cleaned?
Try it w/o the filters, not drive, just idle
