Ok, so I don't really want to RTFM. Easy question. Do I need an adapter to use my iPhone with this car directly (as in not via bluetooth)? Or is it supposed to play songs and display album artwork when connected via the USB port? I tried the USB but I can't seem to get the car to recognize that a device is plugged into it.

Is there another socket next to the USB? If so, that's where you plug in your iPod/iPhone but you'll need a cable from your dealer. This will allow you to get artwork and access playlists, tracks, artists etc.

Thank you. Just bought the cable. $75 at my local dealer (discounted from $93!). Works like a charm.

My BMW could never figure out how to properly function with an iPhone.
