.15 is the blue stuff for better fuel economy.

The newer cars come with it. I don't think you can mix the red and blue.

Stick with .14 the red stuff, it's made by shell, if you buy the shell bottles they are cheaper than the same stuff in a Mb bottle.

You CANNOT mix fluids. If you transmission takes the blue use the blue if red use red. Seen to many transmission shifting complaints if trans calls for blue and red is put in by accident. May take some mileage for shifting concern may occur but it will. Depending on fluid color there is a specific trans filter to use as well CANNOT use one or the other. Trans pan with small dimples takes red fluid. Trans pan with big dimples takes blue.

you can go from red to blue but you cant go back or mix them. There is no advantage in doing this however. The filters are the same i have no idea what you are talking about. The fill tube is a different color but thats because the pans are different like you mentioned and is only for setting fluid level.

Only use the color fluid that is applied to your trans. The filters are different between the colors. Let say in a blue color trans you put the red color in, the trans pan will not make contact with the filter causing improper seal which will then cause lower pressures. They due look very similar but they do have differences between the two. If I can find the documents in relation to this tomorow I will try to post.

You are incorrect, all 722.9 trannies use the exact same filter. The change in fluid occurred during the 722.9's production run. Yes you can go from red to blue, but once you make the change, you cannot go back to red. As someone else noted, there is no real reason to change.
