Curious if anyone else has had connection issues with the main cigarette lighter near the shifter.
For some reason no matter what I do the connection with anything I plug in is very iffy, have to move the plug on my radar detector until it gets power then will sometimes lose power on a bump.

All others work great, nice positive click and secure connection

Am I crazy here, is this common?

Bingo! Certain radar detectors require a thin sleeve around the plug for a secure connection. For some reason, I've only seen this with radar detectors also.

you can always hardwire it in and never have to worry about dealing with it.

Yeah that's what I'm probably going to end up doing, I swap between cars a lot so it's been easy to remove.

It's so odd that the glove box and rear lighters work fine
