The AMG Is Officially Gone
I am picking up a 2015.5 Cadillac Escalade Premium in about an hour.
Vehicle is black with the upgraded Kona interior.
Was a lot of fun modding the AMG and got to know some cool guys on here along the way.
Thanks to those who have lended a helping hand when I was in need of advice. This is a great forum with a few with great knowledge of this platform.
I will poke in from time to time.
Oh and I got a hell of a deal on mine when trading so all parts will stay with the car.

I'm def sad! Like really sad. On my way to dealership now and really having second thoughts!
Something that has to happen at this point in my life though, need a third row SUV. I will be back bigger and badder in a few years. Probably GTR or GT3.

Damn man that's a big change...literally. You will like the Escalade, we have the EXT and I love it. Obviously no comparison to the AMG. Don't be too sad, if you regret it too much just get one again. Good luck, see you now and then.

Thanks guys.
Escalade is def a diff ride, but if I w as going to a 3rd row SUV I had to make the best of it.
Of all the 3rd row SUVs the Escalade is def the best choice for me. The technology is superior in all aspects of the word! The interface is so incredible. And the body styling, to me, is incredible!
Was tracking a GL550 but the vehicle fails miserably in comparison to the Escalade.

I would be happy to have your insight on the GL as I'm considering it as my wife's next car.

Me too, considering the GL seems to be a fine family vehicle.
I brought back my 2012 R Class, which was an amazing family car for a family of 5, for a 2014 E wagon. When we need the 3rd row, we have it, mostly for transporting kids friends and such, and the kids love the rear facing seats!

The GL is nothing more than an extended ML which was my wife's last 2 vehicles. She had an 09 (bought new) and now has a 13 (bought new). She was in love with them until we ventured out and saw what we were missing out on. The interior finishes in the escalade are far superior to that of the GL.
I went with the Premium package with all options including the upgraded Kona interior. The only option I did not have are the power running boards because I don't use them and when they go down they always hit me in the back of the leg. I prefer fixed running boards. Other than that every option available.
I was going to buy the Platinum but I HATE the wheel package on them. The headrest TV's are badass though.
The touch screen Apple interface of the Escalade is so technologically advanced compared to anything else I've seen.
You have to give yourself the opportunity to go have a salesman show it to you. You will drive it home, I promise!
And so you guys know, I was sold on the GL550 before I went to look at the Escalade.

i have to admit, the technological features might get me to at least look at the new cts-v when it comes out. amenities are always a nice thing to have

Sad you're leaving us. Full sized trucks and SUV's Detroit does pretty well. If only they had an option for 3rd row seats in the E63 wagon.

I will get you better pics, but the wood in the car is REAL NON VENEERED wood. Absolutely stunning.
And I got the upgraded 7 split spoke premium 22" wheel package. The standard wheel is a 22" as well but looks like the typical Escalade polished wheel. The premium wheel in person is sick.

I would highly recommend taking the time to at least check one out if your in the market for a new suv. I searched high and low for a GL550, I have driven GL's and THOUGHT I knew my next ride, I was having a hard time tracking one down, but I wasn't taking no for an answer. Then I went and drove this, I am telling you, there is no comparison in the vehicles.

I do still have all my oem parts that I took off if anyone is interested.
Intakes, Filters (air/charcoal), Paddle Shifters, Diffuser, RR Spoiler, I think I have like 8 or 9 quarts Mobil One Oil (Proper blend for our cars), Wix Oil Filter, Blacked Out Badges, Eurocharged MyGenius Handheld Programmer, a bunch of other **** too.
Let me know.

I thought you traded it as-is - obviously poor reading skills or wishful thinking on my part. How good are your badges I'm pretty sure you got OEM and had them painted gloss black. Have C63, ///AMG, and the star for the rear?
