The lift took longer to get open than planned. So I decided to wrap the intake pipes with some DEI reflective heat film. Very NASA-ish, whoosh!

I hope that wrap works, on the intake plumbing, to lower IATs because I have to agree it looks pretty bad.
The calipers do look very good, nicely done.

Yes, the wrap can be polarizing for some folks. Some hate it other love it. I doubt, I'll get anything significant out of the wrap because plastic already has some good insulating properties.
Here's a quick sound bite of my car. Cold start w/ Mike's H-Pipe and OEM resonator delete installed.

Air ride system is in! I plan on doing my own hardline setup. I picked up some 3/8 aluminum tubing, bender, flaring tool, deburing tool, 37 degree die set and some nickel plated AN fittings.
I also got in a rear carbon fiber big fin diffuser from RWcarbon!

Thanks!
Yes, you shouldn't powdercoat with the rubber. So you should replace them with new. I believe I got these thru Partsgeek.com, otherwise you can search for "c63 amg brake caliper rebuild kit" and it'll come up with a couple options.

Took a quick run down to my sponsor to pick up the remaining pieces for my wide body C63! I'll be doing a BS rep front with HMS Tuning rear. Fear not! I will not badge this a BS.

The bad part of the build has reared it's ugly head. Remember those calipers I powdercoated? Upon install, there's a leak somewhere in the system that we still have not found. The car has been down for about two months. We're gonna take one more stab at troubleshooting before it gets super expensive. Having gone thru extensive builds before, I knew this was a possibility. I just didn't think it would pop up on a simple caliper install.

So, I'm hoping the body shop guy will not kill me on the install for the rear and painting the front pieces. I'm still really debating on is I should mold the rear or have a thin line of silicone applied to the seam RWB style. I'm worried about the cracking that can occur with molding.
Only other big bill I'm gonna get hit with is from Rotifrom. I'm gonna try to get a custom build on the wheels. Don't know if it's possible yet, but I'd like to try.

Thanks! And Hell yes to the canards! I ordered some Mode Carbon canards thru Vivid Racing. I should actually be getting them in the next couple days. I'm heading over to the shop after work to drop all these parts off today. Tomorrow, I'll be test fitting a front quarter panel and one of the rear flare sets to get the wheel fitment measured. Once that's done, I'll be ordering the wheels. The body shop guy will be stopping by to give me a quote and go over some ideas.

Yeah, not looking forward to it. I've already put in about $10k just in body parts alone. Then the air ride and wheels. I've also dumped extra money into getting the car repaired from the whole caliper issue that I wasn't planning on. I'm going to try to do as much as possible with the guys from the shop to reduce cost. I think we should be able to handle the fitment portion of the front end pieces.

In this case, it's all about the shop and what they use to bond the fiberglass to metal. From my understanding, there are products out there that will successfully work. 3M makes a product if I'm not mistaken. I'm not denying that there isn't a risk of cracking at all -- there is, but I think having a shop that really knows what they're doing with custom work helps mitigate that risk greatly.
That being said, we'll see how mine hold up!

I'll be going with these PNT's. 20" stepped lip and staggered. The rears will definitely have a deeper lip as well as the fronts. So I'd like to see if they could take this pattern, apply it to the profile of something like this and possibly reverse the center.
I'm using this wheel fitment tool to get my measurements because I'm looking for a fairly aggressive fitment.
It looks super cheap but from what I've read it works.

Prior Design full kit minus the rear fenders. They are custom widened with K-Break wheels. The sizing is full out ridiculous something like 19x10/10.5 front and 12.5 rear. The lines are so ****ed up on this car but as far as aggressive styling, this car is up there.

I'm a huge OEM fan so this just looks way to modded in my opinion. HMS Fenders, when done right, can look very factory. Pair that with a nice set of wheels and modest ride height and rubber, and you have yourself a very nice looking car.

That white coupe is horrendous, the proportions are way outa whack.
Those rotiforms look nice 561. Curious to see what kind of wheel fitment you can get with the HMS flares.
My fender mods allow for a 10.5 ET 35 on a 285 tire. You should easily achieve atleast a 20 or 15 offset with the HMS flares on a 10.5.

That car was built around the wheels. It's done up "bippu" style, google it. But yeah different styles for different people. Everything is "OEM" looking since you don't have any other options than stock C63 bumpers, a lip or full on BS or BS style kit. Even though the fenders are wild, I still appreciate her for setting some bar even though that may push you to do things most people cannot understand.
The Prior Design kit is very similar to the OEM Black Series kit, it may be a tad bit wider actually. The latest HMS coupe unveiled at the Tuning & Sound show has theirs with an OEM Black Series front kit with HMS Coupe fenders on 20's it looks good. I understand the need for aggressive wheels since the BS front bumper is so aggressive.
The HMS rears will take on 10.5 +12 easy. You can go more aggressive but that's considered aggressive enough for most people.

I just wanted to chime in and vote for molding the HMS fenders! I love the way HMS fenders look on the car, I feel that's how these cars should of came factory.
I want to do exactly what you're doing bodywise, but on the other hand I want to keep this car stock as that's what I intended when I bought it. Maybe when you finish it, it can sway me as I'll be able to actually see what the BS/HMS combo will look like in real life!
