Trickle charge battery

We only have a battery in the trunk. Also, the stock one, I believe, is an AGM battery and your "battery tender/maintainer" needs to be AGM compatible. I bought one from Harbor Freight and it says it is NOT AGM compatible.

According to the manual, you're supposed to hook up to the terminals in the hood for any sort of charging.
The charger I have is AGM compatible, I used it for my GLK a couple years ago. It's a Genius 3500.

When I had my c63 I hooked mine to the battery in the trunk for 6 months and it started up and ran with no problems. Just don't forget the sta-bil.
I didn't see in the manual what you saw (probably just missed it) so I talked with my shop foreman and he told me to hook it to the battery. My e63 is stored the same way.
