Long story short, sold my '11 M3 recently and I need a replacement. I've been considering a C63 Coupe (Not the 507 because I'm going to tune it anyway). I would tune it immediately (Eurocharged V5), get headers, Forgestar CF10 wheels, CF goodies, exhaust, a charcoal grey matte wrap and maybe an alacantara steering wheel. Weistec S/C is not out of the question...


Or...

I am looking at getting an '12-'13 Z06 or '11-'12 ZR1. I'm in college so backseats and ride quality don't really matter to me (although, magnetic ride control (; )

I like the Merc because it has a beautiful interior, compared to the Vettes. It has the godly M156 motor in it, and the backseats aren't exactly a negative.

But the pure, ridiculous performance of the Z06 (would do H/Cs immediately) and the ZR1 really turn me on to them.

What would you do?


P.S. If I had enough money for a C63 Black Series, I would buy one over most cars for 100K.

C63. I'm in college too and it's nice to just throw all my **** in the back. If this is your only car def the c63 and maybe a z06 toy down the road. Trust me, the convenience of a real trunk and space is killer. Plus, the ladies would rather be in a nice German interior then thrashed around in a loud, but fast, old man vette.

Corvettes are so common now, yes they put down a lot of power but everyone's dad or grandpa has one. Like PurpleHeartAMG was saying, having the convenience of the extra space is extremely nice...just in case (even though my back seats are always down hehe). Go for the C63 and enjoy!

Also these guys are right, if you're interested in pulling chicks, C63 all the way, and trust me, most girls when you plant your foot down in the C63 or turn of traction control, they are blown away.

also 507 doesn't just have a tune so u should deff atleast get a p31 or 507 with lsd obv.

By the title of this thread I was expecting to see a C63 on Work VSXX wheels. Disappointed. Lol

You can't expect to create a thread in the C63 section of a Mercedes forum and get an unbiased opinion. Post this on a corvette forum and see if you'll get the same answers.

The P31 package I think is definitely worth it. The 507 is worth it for the hood piece alone lol (pricey if you buy it afterwards).

The car choice, yes we are all partially biased here. Although in all honesty, you will really appreciate the rear doors.

I cross shopped a C6 Z06 with my C63. I drove the Z06 first and god damn that car is quick and handles like it's on rails. For me it was just so damn impractical and the interior was so ****ty that I couldn't do it. It was so low that I scraped getting out of a very low angle driveway. It was a PITA getting in and out of and the creature comforts of the C63 are so much better. For a car that is just a few tenths slower in the quarter mile and a bit heavier it more than made up for it with the goodies you get.

Chicks don't notice the C63, they just think you have a nice mercedes, but they won't even tell the difference with a C230. I believe a corvette will be much more of a chicks magnet than the C...

That said, most girls will indeed get blown away when you put your foot down

girls don't give a **** about cars, i've yet to meet 1 female who even knew my car was a "mercedes" ..they all think it's a "BMW" ..so if you want ***..go buy a old M3 or 335i and throw some eye lashes on the head lights..chicks don't dig a lion of a V8 screaming at them like it's about to chew their head off and skull *** them

Depends on the chick. First week I had the car, I had a first date with this one girl. We were at dinner and talking and I mentioned I bought a new car. When I told her it was an AMG, she got all excited, said she had to see it before the night was done, and I took her for a ride in the car (different kind of ride next date).

Other chicks had no idea what it was. All depends.
