2009 E63 AMG or 2011 C63 AMG
Hello, was wondering if I could get some input for my next car from those of you who have these vehicles already! any input would be much appreciated.
I am looking at purchasing either one of these cars there are two I've seen listed locally here in Canada and just wondering what y'all think is the best deal.
2009 E63 AMG 80,000KMs on the car asking price is $32,000 from a local lexus dealership, from the pictures posted it says "Service F is 407 days delayed"
2011 C63 AMG 64,800 KMs asking price $45,998 from a local Mercedes dealer. It comes with an AMG Performance Package, It has been Upgraded with a RENNTECH SOFTWARE UPGRADE AND A SPRINT BOOSTER SYSTEM S.B.S.
The pro about the C63 is its a CPO with the standard certified warranty up to 6 years/120,000km.
If I can post links to the cars I would gladly do so.
Thank you in advance

$14k difference in price... What gives? I'd take the C with the warranty. You might also be able to get the price down a little on the C

C63 Pros:
Engine likely not part of the batch with the head bolt issues
Lower miles
Newer styling on front end
CPO
Cons:
Price differential
A few less luxury items than the E (only heated, not perforated/cooled front seats, no heated rear seats)
E63 Pros:
Much cheaper. You can put some money aside for repairs/upgrades and still come out ahead
Cons:
Older style front end with round headlights. Looks dated now, IMO.

Well for a start I found w/out stating the obvoius completely different cars to drive , one floats and gets a lot of peddle kick back when going hard , the other feels like a hot knife if your on a smooth road , if it's bumpy hold on to your teeth ! The c class has folding rear seats , the E does but only if it has a pano roof ( which most I found are somewhat noisy ) if you do family trips you need the E if you do weekends away and like a fang in the bends and to go sideways a lot get the C . Just my opinion otherwise try the cls it's a bit stiffer than the e and looks hot lowered
But for me the racer called and I went with a c63 and a lsd ofcoarse

Surprised Mercedes would CPO a Renntech flashed car. Doesn't sound right.

Just as an obligatory note from the HQ:
No dealership should be selling, endorsing, referring anything by RennTech...(or anyone really)
Nothing from RennTech is approved by MB/AMG and the installation of just about anything from them (or any other tuner) can/will violate the warranty of your vehicle

Thank you all for your replies!
Yes, the e63 AMG is located at the London Mercedes dealership. I have set aside $10,000 for any maintenance costs for either car. I was also quoted by a Toronto shop 1000$ in labour just for the head bold swap for the weistec head studs.

If you swap the bolts it eliminates most of what you'd have to worry about in either one of those cars.

How common would that head bolt issue be in the 2011 c63? I know the 2009 e63 would be something to keep in mind for a fix.
one of my other questions would be is in regards to pricing wise are they priced accordingly? for the year and kms
I went to see the e63 today and the bottom front bumper lift is cracked down the middle, aside from some minor scuffs on the wheels it is fine I did some research in regards to that service F that appears on the cluster.

If your budget is up to $45K I would definitely consider a facelifted 2012 C63 as it really is a better all around car than the 2011 and earlier.
As for the E63 not a fan of the round headlights they just look dated and the 2009 has the older style headbolts. The 2010/11 is facelifted and comes with the MCT transmission. The 2012 has the twin turbo V8, but they are probably still too expensive.
