I suggest you get the EPC system (you need to sign up, but it is free) and look it up there. It contains plenty of exploded view drawings that will help identify a part.

Compression belt , undue the fitting for added compression and performance

It does appear to be some fuel system part and my guess would be the regulator as well

yes its part of the fuel system, its the regulator at the engine side

apparently bad fuel damaged the engine or so they say

the camshaft ground down a bit of the top cylinder, on a brand new g63 with just 2k miles

fuel tank has rust inside it, damaged the pump and filter

car is a lemon but unfortunately i cant export it back and start fighting lemon laws, was lucky enough to sell it for $130k..... bought and shipped and cleared for $165, i would say it isnt a bad deal becos once a lemon always a lemon

i also hear the new s63 and co, all have few gremlins, my guess is QC in benz factories seem to be going down off late

first off that is a high pressure fuel pump. There are 2 of them on that engine. Why are you in the c63 section posting about an engine that never has or will come in a c63? With exception to the one badass awd swapped c63.

brand new... with 2k miles. Well that's not brand new. So you bought a second hand car that was neglected before you bought it or not handled properly when being shipped. Yes, bad fuel will ruin your fuel system and possibly your engine. Try running some gasoline through a diesel. How is any of this a mercedes brand product fault? Your one bad experience with a used car is not justification to judge mercedes. I hear that people like you probably shouldn't own mercedes.

did u see me in your dream?? why the hostility???

ask questions like a matured person, so u get answered properly.

i will take it you woke up in a bad state, and will ignore your tone of voice.

i asked the question both here and on the e63 page , here becos we have more knowledgeable people like merc63 and a host of other, all i needed was the name, cos it seemed my mechanic was trying to rip me off, so needed to do some research on my own.

secondly, i would very much want to snap, but i will hold my peace. i bought the G brand new 0 miles, drove it in the state and shipped it at 700 miles . by the time the car got here and i finished break in and ordered my diff oil for change at 2k miles, my issues started.

now as far as am concerned bad fuel cant just creep up, cos i fuel my c63 & autobio in the same place and both ain't dead yet ( knock on wood ), so i dont see any reason why bad fuel will affect the G.

but on investigation like i said , rust has already built up considerably in the tank, and that my friend cant happen in one day,cos i wont pour in bad fuel knowingly, so if u care to sit several seats down and understand that to me its a great loss, since i don't live where i can walk in and rain fire n brimstone and the car replaced easily.

so except ur surname is mercedes dont come defending benz like ur life depended on it, u dont know me, u dont know how many benz products i own, and its not like i said **** mercedes, bmw rules..... i dont know d yardstick of those that shouldn't or shouldn't own a benz most likely kiddies talk, completely pointless

so i take exception to ur tone and will agree u had a bad day, as far as am concerned i bought a bad G63 period. all my designo night black color/ carbon fiber..... down d drain but thank God i recovered some money , new owner is willing to change the entire engine and get it up and running.

then finally like i said, the few '15 s63's out here have little issues too and its been reported on the s forum and on other forums, and i added it seems QC in benz factories is goin down, becos u shuldn't have issues so much on engines thats been out for so long, especially little useless issues, like engine shutting off while your driving; if this is a 4.0 engine then yes, but the 5.5 is an old dog.

peace
