The 2.3L is done already. Plus they don't offer a tranny upgrade. Even though it is not necessary for the 2.3L blower, several people with the 2.3L kit have had tranny slips.
Go with cheaper option, or stick with Weistec which is tried and tested and unbreakable. I know what I am recommending.

Many of us have bought new which means we've already sunk in about 80k on the car. When we come to mod it we don't want something that is cheap and going to ruin our car. We also run into the dreaded Mercedes Tax everywhere we look, so I don't know what cheap enough would be to each person. Lastly, even if you bought the car for 35K and you want to throw a "cheap" supercharger in there because the car didn't cost you that much, once again, ruin something in the engine and that Mercedes Tax is going to be knocking on your door with a nice fat repair bill.
I think most of the guys on here commenting "meh" look at it the way I do. Weistec has been doing this for years and they stand behind their product. It's been tested on alot of cars, and yes while it's not without its problems (but what highly modified engine cars don't have their fair share?) they've been through alot with cars that have been years on the road to have ironed out most of the major problems. That's why personally, if I ever SC, I'm taking my car to Weistec.

The actual physical kits are mostly off the shelf parts. Weistec / Magnusson / Kleeman etc.
The beauty is in the tuning.
I betcha this thing comes out before the ESS kit does

Love the speculation when one of the forums own members will have all the answers. As he hasn't posted I can only assume that it is too early to make public all the details. Sit back and wait for Ken to reveal all when the time is right or deal in idle speculation in the meantime.
