Went out to start the car and just as the title says, nothing. I had washed the car with the lights on, kids where playing in the car and put the headlights on. So I thought maybe a drained battery ?? So I took the over off and noticed this random connecter.. Any thoughts ?

Yeah looks like a snapped connector on the ground cable.

unbolt one of the bolts slightly and whisk this underneath and then clamp down again.

Are you the original owner? That eyelet connector doesn't look factory to me. Looks like someone cut the ends off to allow for easy on/off like I do with my motorcycle battery charger leads.

I agree with HBC350. That wire does not look OEM and was added by someone after delivery. I can't see the other end of the wire so not sure of the reason but for connection of a trickle charger makes sense. I don't see one like it on my 2012. Check it to make sure it is not a hot battery lead or it might short out but a ground lead does make more sense.

You need to charge or replace your battery from the sounds of it.

I had to have my battery changed today (1 yr old) after it died the last two days.

Dealership swapped out for a new one no questions asked when they were doing Service A maintenance.
