For all of us who love the sound of the 6.2

Check this thing out. Closest competitor to epic sound to the C63. Hope these take massive depreciation hits.

2013 C63 P31 coupe
When looking at this vs. a C63, I was never a fan of the factory wheel options for these cars, but that exhaust sound is absolutely amazing.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the sound on these electronically controlled somehow?

Nope. That's how they sound. And it's quite special

Luckily we have so many great wheel companies out there giving us a myriad of options! Not like its not easy to swap wheels. If these things take a massive dump during depreciation I may have to seek one of these out. Guy I know kept saying his cousin got this car but it was the F Type S.... No thanks. Only one I want is the F type R

I have heard that petrol is dropped into the exhaust when throttle is released to get that crazy exhaust pop. Sounds great but a little over the top lol. I like the 6.2 sound better

The pops and crackles you hear when he lets off the throttle is computer controlled. The engine and exhaust notes are not.

Meaning the computer tells the car to dump some extra fuel to cause combustion/explosion sounds. Not that it is piped sounds ala soundaktor.

Drove my buddies F-Type R over last winter when he had gotten it and it sounded amazing. However, after 1 month and 1k miles he got rid of it cause he hated it. Was driving a 2011 Turbo S before the F-Type so you can understand why he hated it.

What were your thoughts on the car after driving it?

I'm with most of you guys, the mechanical overrun is doctored. It's obviously dumping fuel in the exhaust to create the popping, it's just not genuine.

C63 is just unruly in a good way

Love the sound and the looks. However, I couldn't justify over $100k for it. Interior did feel cheap and the car was uncontrollable. I drive many different cars due to work. I'd take the new Z06 with a track over it. I would even take a 507 over it I think.
