Power Folding Mirror

The US version of the c63 does not have power folding mirrors. I have done some research and I know its possible to purchase the euro mirror (with the folding motor) and install them, but what I can not figure out is who can code the ecu to allow the mirror to fold.

Does anyone have any experience with this or can someone point me in the right directions.

08s came with power folding mirrors if that helps.

if you read the manual it says that the Canadian version came with them as well..... quote me if im wrong.... at least thats what the 13 c63 manual said... i remember reading it...

Your right...i've found the mirror on canadapartsonline.com and the switch on eBay.

I just have to figure out if the harness in the car is wired for the power folding mirror (I'm sure it is).

My only other problem is the dealer said they are not sure if they can enable the feature in the ecu, which allows it to fold with the remote. They said they can plug my car in and have a tech look for it once I install the mirror, but they expect me to pay hourly even if they are unable to get it to work.

It can be done. I had folding mirrors added to my US 2013 C63 this year. Purchased the mirrors and switch from Steve at MBenzNL.com. My service manager contacted MBUSA and asked that the SA Code 500 be added to VeDoc for my car. They did it and everything works just as it should.

sweet...... how much did everything cost???

Mirror mechanisms and switch were 950 euros and coding/installation was $450. So at the time it was around $1600 total.

I've found the mirrors for 250 each and the switch for 80 so 580 plus the coding is what I'm looking at.

also the coding is simple with any star tool/developper mode, enable mirror folding in front left door control module, instrument cluster and central gateway.

I had trouble finding anyone in the Bay Area CA to do this...anyone have any tips?

Yasinraza 12-02-2015 03:59 PM

I'm surprised to hear that our US counterparts didn't have the power folding mirrors... :/

Hmmm, I'm interested in getting this done to my car as well. You have part numbers available for the mirrors and switch?

Hey! Where did you find the parts at these prices? Thanks.

CPD SLK 12-08-2015 09:01 PM

How did you find the parts so cheap????

As an FYI the folding with the remote option in the 2008's is handled through the menu in the instrument cluster.
So all you need is the program that gives you that option in the settings menu (if it isn't there by default)

You need to get it coded at the dealer I'm going to be doing the mod this winter along with a few other things
