New addition (My c63 for sale, again?)

Well, I was driving around a Ford Edge as a daily. Or at least that was the idea when I bought it. Car never had any reliability issues, but I never felt compelled to drive it. Kind of hard with a c63 sitting right next door to it.

So, I ended up treating myself for Hannukah and traded my edge for an 08 x5 and can already tell I am going to be much, much happier in this thing. Furthermore, I also got a warranty with it.. 3-year unlimited mileage which is great peace of mind.

Anyway, any of the cars I have at any given time are for sale for the right price. Now that I have a nice daily that I can actually see myself using as a daily I may make the push, or at least offer, my c63 for sale. Start saving for an AMG GT?

Anywho, because I know I'll get yelled at by someone if there is no c63 content in here below is a pic of the new addition and the c63.

Too everyone else, hope you had or will have a happy holiday and festive new year!

Cheers

Haha, very nice! that would be a hard thing to do, convince yourself to drive the edge with the beast whispering sweet nothings in your ear each time. Congratson the X5 though, how do you like it so far? My boss has one and he loves it.

It's illegal in the United States to sell a MB C63 simply because you bought a BMW X5. The punishment is a life sentence of regret.

Congrats on the X5 - I got to drive one for about two months when I was in Colorado for work and I loved it. Had 700 miles when it was lent to me - fully loaded. It was badass. Congrats.

The x5 drives great guys. Really does. It has the small 3.0si in it too and surprisingly has enough get up to make me feel comfortable in traffic. I've been in some rentals, like a nissan versa, and holy **** you are just always in the way of the Prius behind you flashing their lights because you accelerate so slowly.

But, this x5 is great. Had it out in the rain today cruising at 80mph and it felt like my old 7 series. Smooooove.

100k miles on it too. Quiet as hell, runs like new, and not a blemish on the outside. If I had all the money in the world without a doubt I would've bought the x5m and even after owning this x5 for a short time I can honestly say an x5m is in the cards for the future.

I've had the c63 for 1 year 5 months ahhh thank you very much. And I had my Edge since last Thanksgiving. The x5 should last until at LEAST next Easter. haha

The c63 always has been blacked out. Pretty much everything is either blacked out or CF at this point. I just need to get spacers and lower the damn thing. My old c sat perfectly, just have to get around to doing that again. FML

nice X5, i gotta say i keep going back and forth on swapping out my truck and c63 to a sport centered suv just to one vehicle but then I drive my c63 and dont want to lose it.

I know if i test drive an x5M or ml63 i'll end up wanting one bad

^ That's exactly why I haven't driven an x5m. Same boat here, too. I question my c63 and then drive it and come home hating myself for even thinking of getting rid of it in the first place.

Lather.. Rinse.. Repeat

Congrats on the X5. It's a really nice SUV. I had an 08 4.8 before and was great in the snow. But just be careful as I read on the Xoutpost forum about the coolant leak problems. But then again, all cars have potential problems.

Congrats. Nice plan look ahead. (AMG GT) I've thought about selling or trading up/across C63 earlier this year as part of a planned move from Georgia to Seattle next month. I just bought a 08 X3 M Sport as a daily just recently for the move to the PNW. As mentioned above X3 X5 have there issues, but I've done some of the work myself as you will most probably will too.

I hope your plan materializes. What color would you go for in an AMG GT?

^Probably white again. Either black, white, or that dark gray.

I've also been looking at the new vipers. But I'd like to move back into a 2 door sports car.

Oh boy! Really? Amg gt? You are going to the dark side.... the turbo side.... lol!
Either way congrats on the X5. Before I bought the ML I was going back and forth with a X5 diesel but had a great deal on a CPO bluetech. Jumped on it and did not regret. As for my next AMG ... I doubt this will happen at the pace fake amgs pop out of nowhere! Latest being SLC 43 ....

So the next step might be X5 M and AMG GT?

Now THAT sounds like a plan.....

GTS is a nice car. I haven't driven one. But for the same price point I'm leaning towards a 997.2 RS or 991 GT3.
I love NA

See you on the line, pal.

In all seriousness a GTS would be a ways away. I'm still in school after all... Maybe a graduation or getting a job present? Not out of the cards. But the gains from turbo cars, especially MB AMG's that have some displacement to them too, is undeniably attractive.

From a straight line speed point I agree these turbo AMG are seriously fast. But from a track point of view nothing really beats a good ol' NA P car

That won't happen until 2019 or so.

I have a 2012 c63 and a BMW X6 50i. I will tell you this will probably be my last BMW. The thing is in the shop all the time. Right now the keyless entry is on the fritz, drivers door handle replaced twice in 3 months. I keep getting increased battery discharge notices and I shut it off I get battery level depleted. They had to replace the brake caliper guide bushings at 15k and now 25k as the truck would jerk when you let up on the brakes.

With a BMW a service plan is mandatory. It has a great motor but the truck loves to be in the shop.

^, see, I've got an older model NOT with the N63. So, in theory, I won't have as many issues looking ahead. I know that all cars have problems, but my 3.0si is actually a great little engine.

That all said, as mentioned, I do have a nice 3 year unlim mileage warranty just in case haha. Not my first BMW rodeo but I've had great success with all of mine.

i dont think i'd own any german car without a warranty after seeing what some of the repairs on my c63 would have cost.

have a nice 6yr warranty on the cpo a4 we just got

yet...on my toyota i didnt use the ext warranty even once.
