High mileage C63's?
I'm planning on keeping my 63 for a long time. I hear of a lot of low mileage cars which sound like garage queens.
Who drives theirs 7-15k miles/year?
What issues do you have (aside from tires and brakes... )?
Thanks!

15k+ here a year. I DD mine except for snow really. No issues so far besides spending long nights in the garage staring at it whenever I can't drive it. Gas is so cheap now too .

Got almost 90000miles on it.
Original head bolts, eurocharged tune and a few other little mods.
Putting about 18000miles/year on it.
The only issues I have are tires. Two sets of rears and one set of front tires a year.

The tech at the local dealer told me the two biggest cost items are:
1.) Tires (especially rears...hummmm...)
2.) Brakes.
I can live with that, considering I'm coming from a 996 with blown motors from IMSB failures, et al.

Just flipped 100k miles on my 08 about a week and half ago.
I bought mine in late 2014 with 88k miles. Just picked up my 2nd set of Michelin PSS's for the rear. 1st set lasted 5500 miles. Thank god for their mileage warranty. Last set only cost me $91.00
I have replaced the cigarette lighter assy and need to replace or repair the command knob

Mine has 79k (or 78?) and *touch wood* the car has been good to me so far. Had a warranty repair to change the solenoids in the transmission for smoother shifting, but it's not like any of them failed or anything.

Were you getting harsh downshifts when coming to a stop in C or S?

Interesting...
I had a reset done on mine, but it didn't help to solve the problem. Hopefully yours will remain smooth and healthy though.

Pilot super sports have a 15k mileage guarantee on stagger fit cars (30k on normal)
I ordered 275/35/18's last May from DiscountTireDirect.com . Even with the toe in dialed out they were gone by Christmas. (5574 miles). Called them up and told them they were spent and what did I need to do to get the mileage warranty. $91.08 on my card and 2 days later I had a new set of 275's in my carport when I got home.
Now, will I push warranty again next go around. Probably not. Just pay full price then warranty them again on when that set wears out. Don't want to push and have Michelin cancel the warranty program.
As a side note, dialing the toe out to 0 does help the wear. They were worn evenly all the way across

105k miles. Going for the gold.
Original owner of a 2010 and at 105k mi. Just replaced a guide pulley as the bearing seized and ultimately ripped the belt. $70 fix. CEL light came on at 70k mi for p228f fuel pressure regulator- limits too low, ran Lucas fuel system cleaner and light never came back. I did a cross country road trip with 90k mi on the dash to California and back starting in NJ. I would do it again with the same car with little worry. Keep up with fluid changes and you should be fine! Engine oil temps are around 210F and coolant is at 197F. Motor runs strong. I've only used shell or Exxon or chevron for fuel.

Merc--Thanks! I only use BP and Shell. I'm planning on doing oil changes at 5k mi. intervals.
Thanks to everyone here! I feel the "996 paranoia" draining away...

I have an '11 C63 which is my DD. I bought it in Jan 14 with 37K miles, so now after two years I have 67K miles. I bought it CPO from a dealer, so it had new tires all around. The front tires still look new. I'm on my 4th set of rears. Thanks to QWKSNK I would never have thought about the tire warranty.
BTW, one unique thing about my C63 is I got a brand new engine from the dealer at 47K miles. The engine developed a tic that turned out to be a cracked valve. The warranty saved my butt.
