Hello everyone this is my first post,

Today at my local merc dealer i signed to buy a 2009 C63 AMG with the Performance pack, It was a great deal and i couldnt wait to get delivery of the car, Shortly after i home i did a VIN decode and it turns out the car doesnt have a performnce pack at all, its just the dealer telling people that it had that option as its got the "19 wheels and red brakes. I complained about it but the dealer offered 2.5k off but that car was priced 6k more then the regular car.

I guess im just feeling a little down now. I complained to the GM of the dealership and no responce from him just the the used car manager to say here is 2.5k off take it or leave it.

2009 Performance pack cars did not have RED brakes. The easy way you can tell the 2009 P30 Performance Pack is the Alcantera Steering Wheel.

Sounds like he never took delivery - luckily he found out before the deal was completed and he backed out. He's disappointed because he feels like the dealer was being dishonest and he was looking forward to having the car - and I certainly understand how he feels.

always get the build sheet when buying used just to be sure, there is a sticky here regarding that.

in my experience salespeople often have no clue what they are selling, i'm often more informed than they are. my guess is someone said hey it has red brakes it must be a PP.

Yea, that does suck. At least you were able to figure it out before you took final delivery. Keep your head up though, there are plenty of C63's hitting the market since the new ones came out. Just keep searching, I know you'll find one you like.

Thanks for the reply everyone, The car i signed for had a dark silver colour i really liked. I asked the dealer about a silver ones they have so i will see if i can do a deal for that one. In Queensland we have cooling off periods so after buying a car i can always back out at the last minute i just never thought i would have to use it.

Lol yea I saw that, I also thought about the inflated prices..doesn't help much when searching.

A couple of years ago, I bought a used coupe form a non MB dealer for a pretty good price. He had it advertised not having the PP, but had red calipers, no alcantara. He also had the original sticker which showed no PP. But, the data card on the car, as well as every verification web site I checked, showed the car had PP. And of course, grey manifold cover. I don't know how that could have happened but it was kinda weird

The pre 2010 pp (p30) offered 2 piece front brake rotors lowered and stiffer suspension and Alcantara steering wheel no ho increase
After it lost the suspension, 2 piece rotors replaced with multi cast 1.5 piece rotors forged engine internals red brake calliper and the extra power

Well i tried to renegotiate the price with the dealership today without any luck as we are still $2k apart so it looks like i will have to keep looking, I love the Tenorite Grey colour but there isnt much forsale in that colour and i wont let the used car manager get the better of me so it might be a while before i upgrade. One thing i found strange was that the car didnt seem as fast as my car but on paper everything says that the c63 should be faster, Does heat tend to affect the C63 performance at all?

Make sure you punish them for deceiving you. The least you can do is yelp them a bad review for outright lying to you.

not just the A45 but the CLA45 is dime a dozen down here as well...not that theyre cheap (under AU$100k) but just the cheapest new AMG you can get i reckon.

OP, just keep looking mate. more and more C63 owners are letting go for the new C63S. goodluck!

I finally had the dealer principle contact me and we reached a agreement, Im still not too happy but my wife doesnt like the silver C63's and after looking elsewhere it ended up being our best choice.
