for the 09 you should be aware of the possible headbolt issue... not that it will fail.. but there is a possibility.
the 2012 is the fl model but thats a lot of miles... these cars are pretty solid... but i generally prefer lower mileage vehicles.
if i were u i would keep looking for a 2012+ model with a little fewer miles with p31 package...

Yeah go 2012+ with less miles. If you are going to mod it make sure it's a P31 package because of the forged internals. I recommend you find one not modded and take the time to make it a personal build too. You will appreciate your car more because of the "Personal Style" you have put into it. I'm sure people who buy others modded cars are great but you lack the sensation of enjoying each new upgrade you put into it as well. Every time I get new parts for the car it always feels new to me.
Bought my 2012 C63 w P31in Dec2015 and installed Long Pipe Headers, Tune, KWs DDC and DTM CF Ground Effects so far and it feels like the first day I bought it. I still smile ear to ear.

right now i have c350 and i bought it full stock and i upgraded it with some mods and i know that wonderefull feeling . i have very poor choice in my country there are only 3 c63 amg on sale, 2008 pp p30 20k miles, 2012 coupe with mods 520hp and 90k miles , and last 2014 sedan with 23k miles but he wants too much for car . dont know wich to choose. in future i want to tune ecu long tube headers sport air filters i think thats will be enought
The 2012 coupe you're looking at has a lot of miles... For that reason, I would personally go for the 2014 sedan and try to bring down the price.
good luck!
