Hey guys....about to do this and wanna be sure I don't break anything. ...can I remove the sidemarker by pressing the white clip shown in pic? I know some threads about going through wheel area but this looks doable??
Can I remove from here and pop it out? I don't want to break anything...I don't see screws or anything g else. Please don't mind dirty car....gonna get full spring detail soon. Thank you fellas.... |
Usually they just twist out... Lefty loosey
|
Hi...do you mean just push it outward from inside the engine bay?
Thank you. . |
Yep just pops right out. Pretty hard to break them.
|
Thank you guys. Gonna tackle this tonight, I had a a few last night and didn't get careless and break stuff...
Just and push it outward from the car? The new sidemarker just pops right back in? Im probably making this seem harder than it is, but I dont want to cause any damage ............. |

Start with the passenger side first. The driver side will be a little tricky only because there is not a lot of wiggle room compared to the passenger side.
Should pop in/out pretty easily. |

Just did this tonight as well... I went through the engine bay and it took me about 15 mins ... the hardest part (for me) was getting the driver side bulb in and turning right to lock it in. VERY tight area to work.
Pics below ....... car looks much cleaner with these than the sore thumb ambers!:y |
Wow...that looks awesome, ArmoE55. I'm assuming those are the DEPO ones from fishcake?
|
Yes. Push the clip. My was really hard to do. I had to use a flat head screw driver to loosen it.
|
what they said. Even though I have done practically everything to a car I still get nervous when working on my new car but it was too easy.
|
Yeah the driver side one is a pain. Once you do it that first time though, it's super easy afterwards. Looks good though :y.
|
Thanks man!
|
Where did you guys order your clear side markers? And did you swap to LEDs?
|
Depo ones on ebay is what everyone gets from seller fishcake321, they are clear and come with both orange and chrome orange bulbs in them.

They certainly look the same, the C250 won't be listed as the US did not have the C250 in 2011, as far as I know there are only 2 side markers on all W204's the the other one is more horizontally long and shorter, looks very different.

I grew up in Canada until I was 25 or so, US citizen also now. Was good for you the last few years when it was at par, but Canadian dollar is quite low now, was good for my summer vacation there though!!
I'm looking at $60+ with exchange and shipping. $31 for you. 😕 |
