Diff / LSD upgrade? Here's my route

So Im a Bi-Turbo CLS63 guy, the previous owner of my car had a Quaife installed (total crap in my opinion) and gave me the AMG OEM LSD core in Hand.. The same LSD "35% lock up on accel" system that you C63 guys get.

Ive always setup my cars to be more street/track oriented and as this CLS63 is a boat, I thought why not upgrade the diff for some more stability including on deceleration from high speed runs.. Ive had Helical style diffs before and hated them.. If One wheel is on a slippery surface and the other isnt, it throws the locking action completely off.. this also happens under wheel hop or heavy suspension bounce or when one wheel looses total grip. My CLS63 with the quaife is very unstable under heavy torque and sways a lot.. I ended up selling my CLS63.. while I was having my OEM LSD Core upgraded though never installed.

This is a true AMG LSD (same core in the C63).. However this one has been sent to a German LSD specialty shop (Limitedslip.de) and worked on by a gentleman named Florian who was extremely knowledgeable... It now has upgraded clutches and a preload and ramp Increase to 45% Lockup on Accel AND on 45% Decel.. (Stock is Only 35% on Accel) This will add stability and also corner grip.. Its a Much better option to the Helical style-non clutch ones ex. Wavetrac , Os Gilken, Quaife

I was hoping to hear peoples thoughts since I know a lot of you guys change your diffs, mostly to Helical ones.. Perhaps im the first to do a true LSD upgrade via the OEM System. ???

BTW, I still have this Upgraded Core sitting in my garage, never installed it.. I listed it in the For Sale section (More details there) but I dont check the ad too often.. I think for any die hard track fans, this is a much better and OEM solution to the stock lsd setup!.

Cheers

OS Giken is a clutch type LSD...It just costs a lot more and requires some modification to the diff housing to make it fit.

You don't really give any details other than it's "upgraded" and has more clutches. What percentage of lockup on accel and decel? Any other details? Good luck
