Input on Weistec TCU Tune

How did your car drive after sending in the valve body and conductor plate to Weistec? I'm thinking about doing this before summer. I felt my 4th gear slip just the smallest bit on the last pass I made at the track.

I think the increased line pressure would help out quite a bit.

Start saving your cash for a rebuilt auto if it's slipped already

Very true. A TCU tune would help in better shifting on a stock car or with few modifications. In a supercharge C63 the transmission clutches won't hold to much. And once it start slipping It only get worse.

Yeah, I hate to say it but those older trans once slipping are it's most likely on it's way out the door. If you're on a stage 2 blower, having Weistec rebuild the trans would be a very good idea.

Yep game over for your trans. You could try the flash but I doubt it will help much.

The only good news is that Weistec transmission really works.

I would order the clutches and do it myself. I'll keep driving it and see what happens. It takes 15 minutes to tear down a .9.

You're not the first person I have heard this from. I wonder what's actually done to the valve body as well?

You want to be the Guinea pig?

Edit: Ok, I'm ready to pull one apart now. C&P link below for multi-part R&R vids.

I just got my car back from the VB/TCU/pan upgrade, then proceeded to snap my axle last week the first chance I had to drive it (second pass boom). Initial thoughts are that the upshifts are very very fast now. Not as hard-hitting shifts as I was expecting - same smoothness, just faster. My first pass of the year was my second best time ever, so something is working right. Will be able to give better feedback after Watkins Glen in 2wks.

Bummer about the axel!

I agree about the VB/TCU upgrade, much faster and smooth. Excellent upgrade. I recommend it!

To the op, sounds like the weistec tranny would be the best move.

I've never had the valve body apart just removed all the clutches. Once the cover is off it literally just pulls apart. Fitting the case back on can take a minute.
