Pulling the trigger The mods begin!
First of all wanna thank all the active members on this form. The knowledge I have gained in such a short time is remarkable. All your lessons learned and shared experience with these cars do not go unnoticed for newbie silent readers such as myself. I new from the moment I purchased my brand new 2015 c63 507 coupe it was special. Special for me being that this is the first sports car I have ever owned. So thank you. As well big shout out to to Rock for sticky FAQ thread. Well done.
First round of planned mods I have pulled the trigger on and anxiously waiting for parts to get installed within the next few weeks :
- Agency power LTH and complete exhaust system with valvetronic exhaust.
- wave trac LSD
- ROW air boxes with K&N air filters
- EC 507 v5 tune
- JL motoring gruppe M intake
- BS cooling package 440
- Finned diff. Cover and rectifier
In the few weeks to come I fully plan to post pics and videos of my progress. The old girl is going on for her first base line dyno on Thursday. Buddy will not let me into shop to record but I will post first base line results non the less.
Dyno schedule:
Once ROW Air boxes installed, dyno again. Post results same.
After exhaust and EC 507 tune installed, dyno and post
I will try my best to get pics of all parts coming in and installation process as well before / after exhaust clips.
Next mods in approx 2 months(once back from overseas) will be:
-KW V3 suspention
-RB BS brake upgrade
-tranny pan
-Toyo proxes r888 265/30 19 rear - 245/35 19 front
-mode carbon boot lid spoiler and rear defuser
Might throw in a weistec TB / TCU upgrade. Still on the fence about this. Been reading that weistec says for newer models this upgrade is redundant. So not sure if it is worth the $$$
Pls feel free to comment on this issue or any other as I still consider my self to be extremely novice and any insight is appreciated.
Stay tuned......

Will be very interested in your progress my evil twin
Mine is virtually stock, except for the 44O, rectifier, ROW and filters. I backed away from any other performance mods at this point due to the limited gains of a tune and my desire to stay within warranty for now.....good luck. I may be tempted to get more aggressive after seeing your progress.
To the post regarding LSD - correct LSD was a $2000 option. I've attached my window sticker if anyone is interested in seeing it.

Ah, so you have the factory LSD. I'm not sure what, if any, gains would be had with a swap to a wavetrac. You may even lose some performance going from a clutch type to a gear type LSD. It depends on what conditions you drive in. Gear type is less maintenance and is usually smoother (better for street). Clutch type are usually better in situations with near zero grip to one wheel (think: lifting a wheel in a corner on the track or icy conditions) and can also lock up under braking.

What are the benefits to these two items? Is cooling a major issue on this motor? My E55 would heatsoak horrible, but it also had a blower.
Purpose/benefit of finned diff cover and rectifier?
- BS cooling package 440
- Finned diff. Cover and rectifier

Hey JD. I would try and steer you clear of the Toyo R888's for this car. It's a very good tire for cars under 3500lbs and does better with the 3000-3200 pound cars. They get loud and loose sidewall control the heavier the car is.

I'm getting this done because I have already put my car into limp mode a few times driving around town. I don't track my car yet and still this is an issue for me. dies not happen all the time but still end of the day will give me peace of mind and when I'm ready to start tracking I'll be set...as far as engine cooling.

Yeah prob.will. Starting to hear about this. Tires just look so awesome. Doesn't matter anyway. As it turns out can't seem to get this tire in Canada anyway. My tire guy said something about that it's not yet approved by the DOT's. Thanx man.

Had a thread on this a while back. Ordered Wavetrac for my 507 but there was a fit issue, would've required shaving. Sent it back and got the Quaife, fit perfectly. Others have said they put in a Wavetrac, but I posted pics in that thread, it wouldn't fit in my 507, and that's after they told me it would. Worth checking before you buy.

^ Thanx man. I'll have my mech check this out. If fitment is wayyyy out then prob. Just put stock LSD back in. Otherwise I don't think will be a major Issue if shaving slightly is needed im ok with this. Seems to be a lot of members that needed to do this for fitment.

Hey 507overbiturbo:
Did you get any ESP/traction control codes after quaife install?

I have a 2014 507, and I have just fitted a Wavetrac diff. We had to shave off a few mm from the edges of the diff casing to get the Wavetrac to go in. No big deal. It's a cast surface that you are shaving, not a machined surface.
