need confirmation of which o2 sensor i need to buy
i'm needing to replace o2 sensor bank 2 sensor 1... i believe this is the driver side precat sensor (left side).
please confirm if i have it correct.

so the bosch part would be fine to use? i don't need to go oem? getmercedesparts has it for $243.20 + tax + shipping probably...
i believe this is the first time i've had to replace o2 sensors... i'm almost at 90k miles...

will try and replace the sensor with a friend... anyone done this themselves? is it hard to reach? any special tools that may be needed due to tight space?

Bosch is the OEM manufacturer. Just comes in a different package from MB.

I just used a long open-end 7/8" wrench. You can order a special socket as well if you want.
