Inquiring for C63
Hello everyone,
Recently my car was totaled in a flood and I am really wanting to purchase a C63. My previous car was a Lexus ISF and it wasn't a bad car, it just wasn't something spectacular. I always liked the C63 even after owning the lexus. Over the past week I actually was debating between this car and a F10 550i, especially since I had owned a 545i before the ISF as well. The issue within the 550i is that is suffers multiple engine issues and from what I read the 6.2 in the C63 is actually quite reliable. I've also read that the C63 is a decent daily driver as this would be my daily driver. The concept is very similar to the ISF if not exact so I don't have any issues with fuel economy or tire wear.
There just is something about 4 door cars with large engines that is quite satisfying and I think a C63 would be a great route. Any suggestions on what to look out for specifically or what to look for in a car would be great. General feed back is also appreciated. I've never owned a MB so I know little about the car other than this one's performance figures. I'd really like to stay under 30k too (most likely a earlier year), my lexus was way over that mark and I really didn't like my financial situation it caused.

Be sure to check out read THE OFFICIAL W204 AMG FAQ (Including Stickies) and New here, and want to know how to find your info?. I daily drive my C63 and love it. These things are built pretty rock solid. If you are able to find one that matches your price range, I would get a FL C63 (2011+). I think overall they are just a better upgrade. Also just make sure to get one with a warranty or get one added on to it.

Depending on where you live, finding a good C63 under $30k, could prove to be quite a tricky task.
Make sure you acknowledge the fact that at some point, you'll either have no head bolts issues, want to replace them as preventative maintenance ($4K or so) or wait till they fail ($5-7K).
The failure is quite rare, but something to keep in mind. Like you said withe the F10, all cars have their achilles heel.
