Need some help finding hit n run runaway car video pic inside
So i got hit over the weekend and the guy left the scene. So i got it on camera but his plates are not that clear. I was hopping someone can help me get the plates.

All banged up already, hits you, then promptly turns right from the left lane. Looks like it was premeditated too. I hope you get that ****ing ****. Someone should be able to clean that screenshot up, I just don't have the tools. NYC drivers are the worst man, no respect - sorry. How bad is the damage?

Yea man **** happens. Lucky this guy i was very happy that day and i had cops in front of me so i figured not to chase and go to the cop but guess what. They were no help.

Suck for sure but it happen.. The video him sitting next to me was before he hit me but thats the clearest clip i got from the camrea..
OK, I hate to say it but I gotta run, but here is my best stab at this so far. I would swear last 4 letter/numbers are 7951. Does that jibe with your plate system? Dash reflections are killing you here.

To OP. Absolutely sucks. I came back to find my bumper hit while parked. Horrible feeling. What you should have done though is immediately stop so he couldnt run. Wouldnt have gone past the intersection.
I don't think it was premeditated. If you look at the rearview camera, it looks like a young kid, head is DEFINITELY down staring at something, most likely a phone. Looks up quickly when he hits, then he looks like he panics and makes a break for it.

I can't seem to figure out the plate, but I have an idea for you, you need to run some guesses of plates.
I believe both Autocheck and Carfax offer a subscription for a month or 21 days that offers unlimited reports (by license plate for Carfax, and I think both in Autocheck). You can either do it subscribe or maybe find someone who has the subscription (sorry mine expired a while back), and then run all the combinations of license plates you get.
Hopefully the plate is legit and actually registered to this car, you have a high probability of finding that Ford Escape's details (including VIN).

As mentioned, 7951 or 7971.
Seems like 404 or 444 or 465 in the front but I dono. Are there not suppose to be letters there? I thought that below says California but I'm mistaken. What area did this occur in the US? Some help with that could clear it
