Parking car for a month
Hey all, i will be parking my car for a month (going to germany to check out all the car plants! as well as the AMG Factory)
wondering whats the best thing to do with my C63? i was thinking just pull the battery and hook it up to a tender. or can i leave the battery in the car if i have it hooked up to a tender? |
Everything will be fine. I leave my car parked for months at a time during winter, and even then the battery never misses a start. Nothing bad is going to happen. You don't need to do anything.
|
I echo the above. A month is nothing to prep for. You're all good.
What plants are you checking out? BMW Welt? AMG Factory? Porsche? Check out Pagani, Ferrari, etc! |
The most I would do is maybe fill the tires up a little more than normal to prevent wear spots (not saying it will happen) but that's about it.
|
And leave the car with a full tank of gas to minimize any condensation in there
|
Agreed with all the above comments.
Have fun! |
Just leave me the keys. I'd be happy to take care of it while you're gone. :zoom:

I always keep my battery on my CTEK 3300 when not in use. I feel the batteries last longer when I keep them fully charged. +1 on a full tank of gas and tires fully inflated. |
Make sure you check out BMW Welt! It's a really cool place and right across from it is the Olympic park, also a cool place!
|
Thanks for all the info guys!

Make sure you have a decently fast and good handling car when you go to the Ring. Believe me, you'll regret it if you don't.
|
Yes, Ferrarri was pretty cool, the museum in Bologna was neat and the tour was ok too. Coolest part was that you could rent a Ferrari and thrash it around town for a couple hours or take it to the track. The rental shops are next to the museum.

Ring Taxi ain't bad. Sucks that you won't be able to drive it though.
Reminds me of what my skydiving instructor once said when asked how solo compared to tandem. "Doing tandem is like going to Disneyland, just hang on and enjoy the ride. Solo... well, you're FLYING." |
yup a little disappointing but what can you do about it!
have you been there? |

have you been there? Been about a half dozen times. Used to drive over for weekends when I lived in London with a bunch of my Porsche buddies. Stay locally at the Hotel am Tiergarten if you can, it's run by the family of Sabine Schmitz and they make a really mean steak. That's BLKROKT III in front of the hotel there all murdered out (yes we are on BLKROKT IV now) Attachment 366473 |
