Ill be taking off the CF ram intake and making something else

I like it man. Do you take the headlights out while drag racing? Just wondering how the filters are getting cold air - is there ducting under there? And where are the MAF sensors plumbed in, can't see em.

Im in the process of making Something to direct air in but i think for drag racing i will take the head light out :)

Does anyone know where i can get custom headlights made with a hole in them?

Definitely make sure you get some flame retardant pipe insulation for those also. Or wrap them with that kevlar thermal headers wrap stuff. While it looks pretty, they're going to heat up pretty quickly if left bare like that.

Without air ducts you're going to suck lots of hot engine air

You should add a spacer too between the filters :rolleyes:

Yup, some sort of heat wrap and redirection of the inlet ports will be crucial. If not, that metal pipe directly over the headers will end up being a hot air intake instead.

The whole point of the OEM plastic is to help isolate heat since plastic is a poor thermal conductor.

also headers are ceramic coated no issues with heat there will be fixed

but yes i agree it will suck alot of hot air if there are no inlet ports or deflectors

Interesting...

My experience on intakes (from cars down the years)

• CAI"s are cool, assuming you can get the filter element right out of the engine bay and away from the radiator fans
• You should see a good few degree's centigrade lower air temps if done right (which will help loads on your supercharged motor)
• A bigger filter surface area will help (but usually space and fitment prohibits this)
• An in-built velocity stack to the filter is also beneficial
