Renntech airbox dyno results

Today we dyno'd my buddies C63. In the pic attached you will see before and after dyno. Same dyno etc etc. Only difference is the fittment of airbox

When we saw the final figure we couldn't believe. Still in shock! Didn't expect that much of a gain.

Going to the track tonight to try and back up that power figure. Will post results.

Mods:
Autowerks tune
X force headers
Dual 3inch exhaust
Intake snorkels
Renntech Airbox

For those of you in qld Brisbane, my buddy also sells/ tunes C63 etc using the Autowerks tune. He owns his own work shop called Eurozone automotive and this is his shop car for r&d.

Pretty sure I can do math and also convert from kW to hp. 36 whp. Seems like quite an abnormally big gain to me too.

Hmm...even Renntech doesn't advertise that much of a gain themselves I believe...

I'm sure they make power, but that much? I don't know man. Not much is changed, just the shape and the Y-pipe to the intake manifold. I find the results a bit odd...

With headers & tune & exhaust, initial dyno of 316.5KW seems pretty low. Thats 423whp with 18% loss converts to about 499bhp only?

The whole "dynos all read differently" thing. I didn't see what dyno he was on. Could be a mustang dyno. It's more about seeing what he gained. But like you said, I made 425 whp on tune only (380 whp baseline). Still need to redyno with my headers. Anything north of 460 and I'll be happy.

Aussie dyno'd read way lower than Usa ones , you an see that on any forum
I've always used mainline dyno' and never seen the power that USA dyno'd cars make on any like for like vehicle .

Looks like a Dyno Dynamic which dominate the Aussie market.

Brand of dyno is largely irrelevant as what we are interested in is in before and after.

What is important is test methodology, temperatures etc. Is the dyno image the best of many runs, a back to back or other? More information please and then those who understand the ins and outs of dyno testing can provide some insight.

Hmmm here's what you do::::: go to your track..... run a-b stock intake to aftermarket and post up results...... avg 3 runs each way. You might be surprised. Dyno's sell parts.

Depends what timezone the MPH is in and how big your air box lid spacer is...

If some you search through previous threads, a couple of years ago a member did that exactly. He tried the airbox on and off at the track and picked up 2mph. We only had 1 pass at the track as we go there late. After a **** run we posted a poor 11.8@119mph. We will back out again soon.

FYI we have nothing to gain by showing some amazing figures. We don't care about final figure. We were shocked to see the increase and I just wanted to share our results with you all. Believe it or not, idgaf.

H.

^Annnnnnnnnnd bingo was his name-o.

While I'm not saying what happened here is irrelevant, what happened here is a data outlier that isn't even in the ballpark.

Kriston's numbers are spot on.
OP - something else changed to net those gains. Not doubting the gains you're showing, but something changes drastically to pick up that amount of hp. If these gains were ever had RT would be advertising it all over the world!
