I thought I recalled one other. Was it Jeffield perhaps? I tried to look it up but that user name no longer exists, I see him under JM but several threads were deleted at his request.

Ok hi guys been away for a while engine hunting.
I cannot discuss the hows and wheres and whats etc... because I am currently fighting with my extended warranty with GROUPE PPP (TOTAL A** HOLES BTW DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM EVER IF YOU LIVE IN CANADA)
We will know at engine teardown what happened but basically the engine went. My personal guess is a failure with the oil pump for some reason. IT was not hydrolock or head bold issue either. The result is a hole on the side of the block from where the connecting rod went through and ended on the floor and from that same hole we can see the piston has hit the head and so basically all hell broke loose inside the engine.
My car has always been super clean and well maintained so no need to start going that road...
So engine died at 96k km in my 2013 C63 P30 AMG.... RIP

Track days are different from racing I go to track days that have instructors there, and that is "Driver training" or "Driver education", and we are careful to not keep any official timing for this very reason. Driver education should be a warranty acceptable usage.
IF that was the case.

Oh, you'll never have any luck with an insurance company. Thats a given.
But MB puts on drivers events with vehicles they turn around sell with full warranty, and if that doesnt void the warranty on those......
It depends on the event, and your ability to push back, but I know someone who did it with BMW.

Who built your motor?
A windowed M157 block is definitely the first I've heard of. Considering you're 100% protected from an operator error mechanical over rev you should be ok.
Let them try and pin blame but there's really nothing they can pin it on. There was obviously oil present (in the pic) and unless the ECU was continuously logging a low oil message they don't have a leg to stand on.

Exactly. If you punch a hole in it, some system (be it electronic or mechanical) has failed, full stop. There are just so many nannies and safeguards now. This aint a 68 Chevelle.

If MB suspects abuse the claim will likely be denied. At the local dealer a customer brought in a C63 with a damaged engine. On inspection it was noted the rear fender liners where full of burnt rubber. The claim was denied and the customer was on his own to complete repairs.

So I am not alone now
I had the same thing, block blown out etc etc, The reason mine blew out was the PCV Valve
failed and stayed stuck closed. Many didn't agree about me saying I was doing 80kph but
Somehow the mechanics pulled out history info and found the failure.
Ill post pictures of my broken block. Piston 1 came out like loose gravel instead of a disc shape.
Would love to know if you got around fixing your car. Currently trying to find a M156 in good shape
to replace.

A failed PCV valve blew up your motor and turned a piston to gravel because it got stuck closed. That’s a new one. I would have said that’s impossible.
