Mbh header mid pipe install

Purchased a set of mbh headers and catless mid pipes had them installed and dyno tuned having a problem with vibrating noise under car my question is do I have to remove the cross bar in middle of car the pipes seem really tight in there ,only rattles when I put car in gear with foot on brake never did it before pipes were installed

You can remove that cross brace, use spacers (or many washers) to get clearance, or MBH makes a modified crossbar that clears the pipes. I opted for spacing it with washers, although I ran the car without the brace for a few months with no ill effects so you could prob just remove it.

thanks, I'm pretty sure the noise is coming from that brace good idea with using washers , I just have to get under the car now

Correct, I used some SS washers to space the crossbar down. Once it warmed up the mids touched slightly.

I haven't noticed that bad of smell, but I think my Remus system might help a bit... it sure tones it down.... but man the cold starts are nice in my garage. What were your #'s on the dyno?

Do you have any videos of your setup? I wish there was a little less rasp on my catless ARH/stock muffler setup. I haven't seen any headers/Remus videos.
