LT Headers Catted w/emissions
Hello,
I live in MA with very strict emission laws like Cali.
Is anyone running LT headers with Cats and able to pass emissions in either MA or CA for 2 years or more? The key is for more than one time.
Depending on feedback this would ideally be my next mod with updated tune.
Thanks,
Keith

In MA you are allowed 1 OBD channel in a not ready state, so you can run catless headers for all it matters as long as your tune disables the catalyst check, then it will always say not ready and it will not set a dash light, but you can still get through annual inspection.

DO NOT DO INSPECTION CATLESS. You are allowed one monitor not rdy but not the cat. My mechanic told me your car will get flagged and will have to go to a special state inspection facility.
If you are willing to wait, I'm in the process of getting cats on my car, my inspection is already past due. Will probably have my car rdy to do inspection around Dec, and let you know how it goes.

I have gone through with the cats not ready for years, but is obviously up to you if you want to try.
They will only flag you if the catalyst is throwing codes which is different than it showing not ready, disconnecting your battery will make catalyst not ready, they won't send you to the state facility for that.
