I thought the intake manifold and the older style valve covers were magnesium.

I'd just have Valvestud run the VIN to be sure you have the updated head bolts.

I have a 2011 that I bought used with 20,000 miles and it now has 52,000, it's been a great car.
Already posted up page a bit.

Yes, by me, I just want to make sure he contacts you and doesn't rely on the black valve cover indicator.

By the way, do you know if the black valve cover is a good indicator? For one data point, I have a 2011 with black valve covers and it has the new head bolts. But my worry is that all 2011's have black valve covers and as we all know, the early 2011 cars still have the old head bolts.

Sorry, didn't see you posted the data card. Is this engine number past the break point? Also, any truth to the black valve cover indicator?

Get it.

You just might make it around here....
How can you see it has black valve covers? I saw the link you posted, which I started down the path of filling my knowledge cup but I still can't see where they are on the OP link he posted.

Look at the pictures. If you still don't see it, keep looking.

It is past the changeover. I can't speak with knowledge to the valve color cover discussion.
