ARH + Remus
There were a few people asking to hear an ARH with Remus catback setup. I took some clips today and cut them into a video. Quality/shots could be better but it's a bit tricky shooting on your own.
The small mic in the camera doesn't fully capture the volume but you get the idea. The setup is fairly civil in most driving conditions. |
Man. That sounds good. I have catless ARH. I wonder how much raspier that would be. Thanks for the vid!

Nice!
Remus makes some good things! I have a Remus exhaust on my motorcycle and love it. |
Sigh...I need headers!
|
Sounds great!!
Love my Remus setup with castles MBH LT's But man the Remus tips had to go immediately after the install. |
The tips are yuuuuuuuuge.
Sounds awesome tho. |
BTW where did you get the ARH? I see they list Mercedes on their site, but they dont list any actual products.
|
Love it 👌

You have to go through mhp
Thats kind of an odd setup. ARH has a pretty good rep, no idea why they would do it that way.

MHP gave me the contact info and I ordered directly from ARH.
I assume that was you. If so, hat's off to you for figuring out how to work that. Cut out MHP at all costs. |

UGH. I recall a thread about going thru MHP. Didn't realize that was the only way.

I recall reading (I assume in the same thread) about someone picking up direct from ARH, and thinking "THAT'S the the only way that's gonna work" lol. I assume that was you. Yeah, I am in VA Beach and they are farther north. I tried to go through MHP. After about 10 days and no shipment, MHP gave me some BS about not being able to transfer money from their paypal to their account. They refunded me and asked for a wire transfer while they set up their credit card system. Riiiight. I'm not stupid. I told them to tell me when the cc system was up and running. Then he gave me the contact at ARH and I ordered through them. They shipped with tracking number maybe a week later

Either way, you will love them. My brother has the catted setup and it has a nice sound to it. He also has the test pipe to swap |
Is anyone else having site problems? I got an email update saying w204nyc had posted here, and it says what his post said. Same as always. I look on the front page, and it shows him as last poster to the thread. I come here, and it is nowhere to be seen.
This has happened to me a few times in the last day or so. In one or two cases, the post shows up much later. Tried refreshing, tried different browser etc. Anyone else? |

And now w204nyc's comment is there, slotted just above mine, in what would be the correct chronological order, and it is, in fact, the comment I was emailed about. And yet, when i posted it was nowhere to be seen. So odd.

sounds great jeff. drive safe!

Sounds great! Wish that Remus would have more options (shapes) for the exhaust tips though. I know minor stuff, but looks so out of place with our cars IMO.

Thanks all.
Yes, the tips are...eh. They don't look TOO bad in person but I like the oval tips better. This winter I might experiment a bit with different options. Like some have said you do NOT have to go through MHP first to get ARH headers. You can call them directly and they will get you setup. I confirmed this when I called them to see if I could order the non-catted mid-pipes separately. The Remus tips are 102mm. They have similar tips that are 84mm ( http://www.remususa.com/td12n/ ). They also have angled oval(ish) tips that may or may not fit ( http://www.remususa.com/td03n/ ) I'll have to measure the space between the pipes exiting the mufflers to determine what will fit. The 84mm round tips should definitely fit but they may be a bit small for the diffuser opening. |
Great combo!
Def on my mod list. |
Where did you order the remus from?

BTW jshimer23, you were kind of apologetic about the video quality, but I think you did a pretty damn good job. Thanks for posting.
