Pulling a headlamp apart
 

I Googled around for a bit and couldn't find anything so here's a headlamp DIY


I hit a dear cracked my headlight and destroyed it pretty good....


Didn't want to spend $1,400.00 for a new headlight so I searched around on the used marked with out any luck. I ended up buying a used headlight with a different color inside bezel.


Hung both headlamps in my oven set at 200* for about 10 minutes (with bulbs and control unit removed). Long enough to get the glue soft.

Pulled them apart. swapped the bezel out and put it back together. Works fine and saved about 1K to DIY.

Did this with my old G37 to paint the shroud red. Really easy to do, just make sure you seal it properly.
