Modifying driver seat to increase leg room

Start out with the set up.

2014 C63 with MANUAL front to rear seat adjustment. Power recline and height (controls on the seat, not the door)

Me: 6'5"

I was able to get more leg room in another vehicle by removing a limiter from the power seat in a previous car so I figured there would be something in this car that would allow the same. I was right.

Pull the seat all the way forward and look at the track. You will see these little black stoppers. One on each rail.

These pop off with a flat head screw driver and reveal 3 more locking tabs. It allowed the seat to move back an extra 1.5". Still secure and locks in place. The seat rail bolt now acts as the stopper.

Maybe this will help someone who wants a little more leg room.

I don't know, I am sure there is a limiter somewhere. I couldn't find anything online about the C63 seats. On my G37 with electric seats, there was a little collar on the worm drive that limited its travel. All I had to do was screw collar down the worm drive to increase travel. I would look at your seat and see where it 'hits' at the end of its travel and see if that's something you can adjust or remove.

Oh nice find!!
I created a thread the other day asking if anyone else had issues. I'm only 6'1 and find the leg room to be lacking.
I'm out of town currently, but I'll check when I get home.

Nice. I wondered how anyone over 6 with long legs drives this car comfortably.

Just went and checked my seat, I didn't find any limiters of any sort.
