Paint protection for rims
So.....I have a new set of rims that will be going on soon, and yet to have any rubber mounted. So now would be the ideal time to apply any paint protection obviously.
Anyone have any feedback re ceramic coating wheels? Brands? Pricing?
TIA.

I had my rims coated about a week ago, yet to have them on the car though. I think the shop used opti coat. Cost me $400 to do all four including the barrels also.

My wheels are Opticoated.
Works great, I just power wash my wheels clean. No soap needed. You do have to re-apply it after a while though.

Thanks guys. I think I am going to order some today. Off to Mexico for a couple weeks tomorrow, hopefully when I get back the product will have arrived and winter will be gone, and I can get the new setup on

I got the c quartz kit from amazon for like 80ish dollars. Easy application, but I agree with the other replies - definitely want to do a few coats and/or recoat every few months.

I see that Amazon they have the Cquartz UK formula, for where you may get snow and salt. Thats sounding like the ticket.

I used to use opticoat but didn't feel it held up. My detailer buddy uses Gyeon Rim coating to protect wheels. He says it holds up much better to the heat generated by brakes.

I had opticoat pro on my Volk wheels before and was happy with them. I'm not sure how different it is to regular opticoat.
Now that I have matte wheels, there aren't any good sealants that last.

I am going to try some 4oz. McKee's 37 Wheel Dressing that I got from Autogeek for $35US. ++ I hope it lasts two summers = one full year and no winter driving.

I've been using wheelwax. My 5 year old Forgestar CF5s still look like when I took them out of the boxes.
