Scan tool needed?

Im doing a full brake change this weekend including rotors, 2012 c63 sedan non p30

Question being, do i need a scan tool to reset the parking brake? not sure how its oriented and controlled - this is a first time for me on this car. rest of job is no concern if its straight forward brake job.

Thanks
J

I'm about 95% certain you don't need to. If you're swapping rotors, pads and bleeding the brakes, you should be good to go.

I'm interested if that's something that needs to happen

Its a straight up mechanical parking brake, hence the foot pedal.
You only need a scan tool with the electronic park brakes. I believe the W205 has that.
