2012 c63 maintenance
Hey guys, just wanted to get everyone opinions on how often i should check the car over to make sure all fluids are full and everything is in order.
I spoke with my dealer and he said that every year you bring the car in for Service A and Service B the year after. Do i need to check my Oil as the dealership said that Oil changes are done every 15K which i never heard of as my last car i did it every 8k running on synthetic. Should i be checking the oil as i read on here that the engine does like to eat oil a little.
Any suggestions or recommendations are greatly appreciated as i want to maintain this car and have it for a while without running to the dealership.

yeah, the dealership said $250 for oil change and i was like wow, that's quite a bit but it is good for 15k so its not too bad. But you are right I might take it over to my buddies that does his own oil changes on an S4 and we can do it together

It's not 15K, it's 10K or one year. Mercedes has the maintenance intervals on their website:

No reason you can't do oil, brake, filter changes yourself. The tranny flush is a bit complicated I did have mine done at the dealer.
Other stuff like check the wiper blades, turn signals, etc...all stuff you should be able to do yourself if you don't want to pay $500 for a Service A/B at the dealer just follow the interval manual.

These cars tend to go through oil fairly quickly. Expect to top off at least twice between oil changes. I rarely check the levels, but whenever the on-board computer tells me to "check oil level," I head over to the dealer for a free top-off (and car wash). "A" service has consistently been around $230 or so for the past 7-8 years, while "B" service (every 2 years or so) is around $500. My girlfriend has had her C63 since 2010/11 and it is now about 135k miles and it's still running strong - she keeps up with maintenance religiously.

For US cars, service is every 10k (miles) or 12 months, which ever comes first. Yours is probably the same. They alternate between the service A and B as described above.
Here's a link to service schedule. C63 is same as other C-class cars in most respects, and the few exceptions are highlighted.

$250 for an "A" service is within the typical range for a dealership here. In the US, you can buy 10 qts of Mobil 1 0W-40 (the engine holds 9 qts) and an oil filter for about $75.
It is always a good idea to check oil frequently on a car that is new to you. I'd do it weekly until I knew whether it used oil or not. I don't know if mine is typical or not, but I have never had to add more than one quart between oil changes.

Another thing you should start budgeting for: rear tires. I've had to change my rear tires in as little as 10,000 miles (my girlfriend as low as 7,000 miles) without any track time (always PSS). The wear is always even, but always happens too quickly.

yeah my tires were new when i bought a couple of weeks ago. I try to be in comfort mode as much as possible but the slow shifts bug me. I like the response from s or s+ . Tires as i read here from numerous people are a common thing to replace

I know, it's weird since i have such a powerful car but i'm driving like a granny. I had a g37 before this and drove fast all the time. With this I baby it too much i think. Don't get me wrong i do release it sometime and love the sounds and when driving up to my house i put it in manual and blip/downshift my beast and it sounds sooooo good lol

These cars aren't meant to be babied, open it up once in a while. Then you will appreciate even more

It really depends on driving style - she is a bit more aggressive, and generally has to add more than I do.
Are you supposed to be admitting that on the forums??
