I have my tuning setup for next Friday afternoon. Going with their "unicorn" tune and sending logs back to EC for review and possibly updates. Will update this thread once completed.

I agree with you in principle, however with EC tunes, TB's are already programmed to open 100%. So from V6-Beta tune, should make no difference in throttle mapping.
Throttle response is easy to change programmatically on most cars. The programmer simply changes how much the throttle body opens per degree of throttle pedal movement. It can also be programmed to be "front end heavy" (more throttle body opening per degree of pedal movement at lower throttle pedal settings).
This is a relatively easy and effective way to make a car feel notably quicker without actually increasing its horsepower, and for a sporty car it makes sense to do.
This is in fact one of the things that the car manufacturers alter programmatically when you select a "rain" or "winter" driving setting, except they REDUCE the throttle body opening per degree of pedal movement for those rain or winter selections, to make it less likely that a driver will accidentally lose traction when the roads are slick.
Back around 2000 or 2003, there was an SAE paper on this made available on The Web.

Still running the AP LTH's, The MBH LT's definitely make a little bit more power, Lets say 10 WHP difference. Still no where near the 500+ WHP mark.
The car put down 477 WHP last year after a few pulls on the same dyno. Too many variances to worry about 5-7 WHP if you know what I mean.

Ok Kris,
Correct me if I'm wrong, you are still running the agency power headers?
The 507 dyno' d had MBH headers?
Not that it's worth much but on the LS7 headers with 2" primaries vs 1 7/8" make another 7-12rwhp up top. So if the cyclinder heads flow enough to make use of the 2 inch primary then there would in fact be a difference there as well.
I will see how I make out on a dyno jet 224x independent from eurocharged. Dyno before and after if I get the updated file before then.
Otherwise hitting the strip hopefully June 23 as long as nothing else comes up.

So Kriston proves that we can all have this unicorn EC tune if we have a dyno operator that makes favorable adjustments to the correction factor and "adjust" the temp sensors, we can all have a 500+ rwhp unicorn!
Otherwise, just be happy with your real world 460-480 rwhp bolt on setup. MBH would make at most 10 additional rwhp, but a far cry from the 40-50rwhp from the unicorn tune.

Someone saw something unusual that was agreeable with them and shared it with everyone. Others that had seen similar events disagreed with the OP's interpretation, and a rift emerged. People then split up into groups and sects; each sect claimed that their interpretation of events was the true one and that they have the ultimate authority. They wrote Interwebz posts and started preaching the True gospel... I am sure you know how the story goes from here. Wars have been fought for thousands of years now...

Do you guys actually use the unicorn tune for anything other than bragging about dyno charts? Like, is that fun for you? Yippee look at all the big numberz while my car is being driven in place by someone else on rollers. That doesn't sound like fun at all.
Why don't you guys come back and brag when you're trapping 126mph+ Or don't you use all this amazing power for anything other than waving charts around at your friends.
Anyone in the NYC area with these magic tunes, you're welcome to shut me up by lining up at Atco. Anytime.

If i was near you i would be the first to shut you up at atco, mexico, highway, whatever you want.
Yes we are talking about our dyno numbers but we or atleast I didnt go to the dyno to get a number and be like "YIPPEEEEEE" i actually spent time at the dyno and got 3 tunes which got me more power each time. and another car that got a unicorn tune did the same so yippee that.
here is another question you avoided a few times in this thread
Is it not common for our cars with bolt on's to make 470 whp? cause thats i did on my first run and after three files 498.
unicorn tunes are available for you too man. dont miss out!
in awful conditions and with some small issues that costed me power i ran 12.0 @ 118.
this e63 made 50X WHP with many people there for a big dyno day, i am not far away from that trap, and next time i get a clean run at the track i'll post better than that.
sure i have a boat with a diff tranny but men lie women lie....

Funny how you couldn't say anything about my numbers, my a/f, the fact that it wasn't at an eurocharged facility exc. As i already told you (which you probably already know because you know it all) and your boy JimG even said, some tracks post faster than others remember when i said some tracks are happier than others? atco is deff one of the faster tracks.

And I'm sure Blkrokt is even more incensed that you would imply that he and I agree on absolutely anything!
