Denver, CO EC V7 custom tune results

Jerry at Eurocharged has been providing tunes for me since my E60 M5, E55, and my current C63 507 Edition. I have always been extremely pleased at their service and this experience was just as expected: phenomenal, beyond satisfied.

I scheduled 3 hours of dyno time here at Dyno-Pro in Arvada, CO (excellent facility btw) and after 4 hours between dyno runs, sending logs to Jerry, and receiving tune files back, the vehicle:
  • Best Initial Run: 436whp/420tq (~10:15AM MST)
  • After receving first V7 tune file: 465whp/434tq (~11:30AM MST)
  • Final Tune: 471whp/440tq (~1:30PM MST, 10 Deg change in outside temps)

The vehicle feels like a totally different animal. I think it's perfect where it's currently at right now.

Shout out to Bear at Dyno-Pro for being totally flexible and Jerry for doing what he does! Totally worth it!

Oh, and the driver in the pic is infamously known as "infiniti" on here

Awesome results. I'm hitting the strip tuesday.
See what v7 does uncustomized.

Thats awesome man and its right in line with my power gains with v7 as well (30whp over v6) There are still a few naysayers on this forum with their heads in the sand but the v7 is proving itself with each dyno that comes out... Brace yourself for the hatred and venom that is sure to come.. (I hope not) Congratz man !!!!

Right on. I have same mods minus the headers. Been meaning to get a Dyno, wonder what v6 vs v7 would do for me.

Is every single V7 tune going to get its very own thread? Can't these all be consolidated into one? Honestly, this is starting to get ridiculous. Mods?

Edit: Nevermind, saw info not in original post.

So is EC gonna explain how they "unlocked" 30 who with the newest tune? Have they gone leaner?

They have heavily modified the vvt, ignition timing, and fuel.

FYI Arvada CO is at 5250' elevation. Great numbers if they're not corrected.

They figured out the VVT. It was explained in one of the other eighteen threads about the V7

Seriously, we're all really happy for you guys, but new threads every time someone gets a tune is a bit much. Can we start a "Eurocharged V7 Appreciation Thread" please, and then you guys can all go in there and have your circlejerk over this.

Well 477whp on a headers car isn't anything to write home about then. But his baseline was 436whp? I don't get that.

Your "DA corrected" sig line just gets worse every day. Thanks for the laugh.

There are many factors why the car didn't read higher but I'm sure you guys already know about that

You're right 471whp on a header car isn't anything to write home about, but the increase in hp after spending some good time on the dyno is. Whp and 1/4 times are out the window in Denver.

Regardless of the actual final number we were happy to come in at 436 and leave with 471 the car is running much better. As soon as i drove it before the tune i knew the car was way down on power as it didn't rip like mine. Now?

Another seamless experience with EC!

So you're saying that the 471whp here is uncorrected? Because the corrected number would be 545whp.

I just want to figure out what we're looking at here, because it's yet another case of totally fuked conditions and numbers out of the "beta club". Either it's a low-whp FBO car corrected for altitude, or an impossible number corrected. Choose one please.

What i meant to say is that i think the car would put down better numbers at real st in orlando. As i said, whp numbers and 1/4 mile times are all out the window in denver and well, we all know how members here feel about correction numbers. what i'm choosing is the significant increase in power. this thread isn't to brag about what the final numbers are and if it's a fast FBO car or one on the lower end, it's just to share the experience and results of custom tuning the v7 in denver. thanks for reading pal.

Why are they "all out the window"? As usual, you don't answer any questions. Dyno correction factors are supposed to take atmospheric/elevation factors out of the equation.

Why would you think that it would put up any different numbers at Real St? Ringer dyno perhaps?

Yeah great increase in power, and that's what dynos should actually be used for. What was the original tune? Was the dyno setup exactly the same way for all runs, and where are the charts. As usual, all of these posts leave out critical information that would help people to actually figure out what's going on here. Pal.

for someone who criticizes others who use and talk correction numbers you're all about it. as with anything you can correct here and correct there and for me that's not good enough i rather have the car in a proper setting with the right dyno to really talk about numbers. and i know the correction factor is supposed to make it even as the dyno operator explained that but still, it won't ever be the same.

yes, nothing was altered in the dyno throughout the runs and car remained strapped down.

post #8 addressed your question about the baseline numerber. 436 was a shelf v6 tune. we can post the graphs, no problem.

Some dynos read higher and there are tricks you can do with cf factors....but this Dyno is reading inline with what we expected this car to put down.

Not 452whp bone stock like the unicorn Dyno in canada
