I noticed this weird rattling noises while at idle, if I raise rpm the sound does not get louder or anything worse. What could be the issue? Perhaps its normal? Oil level is new and I always replace oil early every 6K km since the weather is very hot over here.

No sure and someone no doubt will kick my *** if I am wrong but I suspect it is the high pressure fuel pump. Different engine than a 2014 SLK350 but the noise is exactly the same as I heard in my neighours car I am babysitting while her recovers from a stroke and my guys in the shop told me - 2 of them independently - that this is what it is.
Take it and ask your tech.
