Hello fellow members of this forum. I just recently purchased a 2012 C63 AMG coupe and I wanted to introduce myself to this forum. The car is in Lunar Blue. The options include the following;

Black Leather
Carbon Fiber Trim
LSD
Keyless-Go
P31
Black Nappa Leather Package
Lighting Package
Multimedia Package
Lane Tracking Package

I just replaced the battery and will be replacing the tires later this week. 245 40 18 and 275 35 18 Michelin Super Sport tires.

Other than a Black Series, that is the first coupe I have liked. Great looking car!

Replaced a battery? That's odd. These OEM batteries are good for 9-10+ years based off my experience.

The new battery I put in is for 8 years. My thinking is this car was sitting at the dealership for a good amount of time and may have resulted in it becoming weaker.

Congrats on the new purchase. Just an FYI you can go up to 255/40 in the front without any issues.

Agree, that is a great looking car, and it is very well-optioned!

I don't have much prior experience with Mercedes, but 9-10 years is far longer than most OEM batteries will last. Battery in my 2012 C63 died last year, so OPs decision looks solid to me.

interesting. My 2008 still had the original battery in it when it was totaled last month.
However, my car was not a weekend queen. I drove it every day. When I discovered the battery was still original in it late last year, I looked it up and from what I gathered 9 years was average life of OEM battery. This the only car I have ever had that the battery lasted longer than 4-5 years.
I imagine if it a car sits a lot during its life, the battery will not last near as long
