Usually the controller will tap into RPM and manifold pressure to calculate pulse width. So it's always part time spray. You don't just dump in meth for no reason...
Have any of you guys making comments actually set up a meth system?

Usually you can go about 1000 miles with a 5 gallon tank and that’s if you drive it hard
You said it yourself that meth will be used even at part throttle to make up for the 5 degrees of octane difference. 5 gallons is not a small amount, but it's also not a lot when you're trying to make up for much of a difference. It's your car, do what you want with it.

I ran it on an SC'ed S2000 track car. Mind you, it was only for safety. I didn't tune for it.
I tapped the nozzle into the charge cooler which isn't ideal if you want perfect distribution to each cylinder.
Pump, tank and controller were in the trunk.
I'd have to look up the nozzle and pulse width specs but the AFR at WOT was drastically affected.

Why are you still bench racing? If you firmly believe that it's going to work, you should just do it and report back to us on your success. The majority of members on that have chimed in, does not recommend this method to obtaining 500rwhp and tuning for 95 octane when you only have access to 90 octane fuel.

Just to be clear. If this guy wants to spray meth to compensate for the garbage fuel available. He WILL benefit from it.

I'm taking into consideration everything that the OP has stated in this thread. He's benchracing with assumed dyno increases to get to 500rwhp while running on 90 octane fuel. That's where I'm saying it's foolish to think that he can tunes his motor for a 95 octane fuel as his daily driver and believing that meth alone will accomplish all that reliably.

Seriously though, nobody sprays meth to raise octane. I understood that to be a very small side benefit. I thought there were easier ways to raise octane other than dumping 5gal of meth in the tank (the octane increase benefit seems to be even less when spraying).

I know that meth is sprayed guy. I was just saying that some geniuses like you who just want to use meth for the octane increase, run a mix of it with pump gas. In the tank. Sounded like something you would try.

Just run mmt and change your o2s once a year it works and is proven to do what you need for about 10 bucks a tank.
PS get the c63 first then worry about the gas you run in it.

You can calculate it and find out almost exactly what it would increase to. Just need the flow rates of our injectors, and the nozzle size of the meth system and the mixture percentage. If using 50/50 with a large nozzle maybe bump 90 up to 93 or 94 with the benefit of cooler IAT.
You can blend methanol with your gasoline to raise octane levels. It will essentially do the same thing as ethanol but methanol is corrosive to your fuel system components.

tbh, do you really NEED to hit 500whp? Given you already know you can't get good gas, why not just settle for the normal mods and call it a day? Frankly unless you are doing 1/4miles, I don't think you're going to feel a difference.
