Wheel fitment question....and YES i have searched extensively
I have GOT to get a set of wheels as one of mine is cracked and has been welded x2 but keeps opening back up to where it leaks about 2-5lbs of air per day
i have brand new tires on my OEM 18" wheels which is one factor for staying 18" but since i have the P30 suspension i cant afford to give up any more cushion as the ride is already stiff as hell
I know that OEM specs are:
18x8 +45
18x9 +54
but i know that you guys have MUCH more experience with what OTHER offsets will work/won't work than I do so here is what i have found but would like for some of you to chime in with go/no go and any pros/cons that may come up...
current tires are:
245/40/18
275/35/18
the wheels i found are:
18x8 +42
18x9.5 +48
the offsets being different makes me unsure to begin with but also the fact that the new rear wheels are 9.5 muddies that water even more....thanks for any input you guys
.....ps, shut up BLKRKT

Try this site to see if they will fit and the change in poke/inset. http://www.willtheyfit.com/
I think you are good on the front as they are only 3mm more aggressive. The rear however is another story. The wheels will fit but the tires may not. You may end up having to go to a 265 or 255. The 18x9.5 ET 48 is a 12.4mm more aggressive poke. People have run 12mm spacers on the rear with no rubbing but on OEM size wheels and 255 rear tires. My experience is with a 19x10 ET52 and a 275 MPSS did rub a little on the right side. My wheel has a poke of 14.7mm. It looks like you can do it but it will be close. I am not sure how the difference in stretch of the 275 on different rim widths will help or hinder. I think you are good but have not actually tried that combination on my car.

😂 Wheel thread answers all the fitment questions, the only fitment question that thread doesnt answer is for people wanting fitment questions for wheels after widening the arches dramatically.

ive read over 2000 posts in the aftermarket wheel thread and found almost the exact wheels on a car identical to mine, difference being their rears were +50, not +48 as these are.

Your rear wheels will rub if you install 275s in the rear.

You will be fine. I have 9.5 with +47 no problems guys run +45 out back. Your not on springs. You will have no issue with 275s out back. I did tons of researching on wheel fitment.

no they will not. The stock size is a 235 on an 8 inch rim. If anything it looks more squared cause it's wider. Stretch would be if he was a smaller tire size. I'm 235 on an 8.5 no stretch.

I think you'd be well served by looking at these wheel MADE For MB http://www.mandruswheels.com/ This is TSW's MB Wheels One nice thing is they are HubCentric.. That helps to get a good balance and ride. Give them a call they will know for sure what will fit correctly, and will warranty it fits correctly. 1-800-479-9723
And the Mandrus wheels will accept an OE MB Center Cap too!

Your should be ok, just stretch a 245/35 on the rear or even a 235/35 so you are clear of the body. If you order the wheels test fit them on and lower the car on padded blocks of wood to determine what tire sizes you want to run.

Once you said the offsets, I knew you probably were going for misano's, so thats why I asked. I recently bought niche misano's in black. I noticed that the gray had 8" rim and black has 8.5" for front. I went with 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 for rear, at +42 offset front and +50 rear. You can take a look at my "build thread" for fitment in the regular w204 section. These offsets for me are basically flush to the fenders with no rubbing at stock height. I think +48 and +45 should be more tucked in, and also the c63 has a bit wider fenders both front and rear (just barely) but it gives a little extra distance.
I found the best price to be at 4wheelonline and they were suppossed to give me free lug bolts, but due to the hurricanes it got postponed so still waiting on them. Overall good experience though, quality of rims is excellent.

Thanks Adi I'll give your thread a look....how concave are the rear wheels? I can't really find a good off line side shot where you can see the depth.
..and have you got a link to where you got them? I looked at 4wheel online but all I saw was parts for my other toy, the monster Jeep
