2003 C32 & 2012 C63 P31 Sedan
Low Coolant, CEL, P0355 on a 2012 C63
Car is a 2012 C63 w/ P31 and EC V6 tune as the only mod. 77k miles.
I ran into these issues all at once so I'm curious if anyone has had anything similar before. I've had to top off the coolant (about 1/4 Gallon). I think I also had to do this about 1 - 1.5 years ago as well. I assume it must be a very slight leak since nothing is under the car in the morning. Headbolts should be fine since its a 2012.
The CEL is due to P0355 (Ignition Coil E Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction) and it hasn't gone away in the past few days. The error must be intermittent because I can't notice any misfiring and it idles normally still.
Any ideas or past experience are greatly appreciated. I will be making an appointment at the shop in a few days for a full diagnosis and will post back what I find out.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Do you have by chance a Bluetooth/wifi OBD2 scanning tool connected at all times?
If so that can cause the code. I had the same code for weeks and dropped of the car at the dealer to find out what's wrong. With their code reader it would never come back up after clearing it. At some point after getting the car back and MB scratching their head I became so annoyed that I pulled out the tool. I noticed after a couple days the CEL disappeared. I recreated it a few times and sure enough it was the tool itself causing the code.
