C63 Time Square Rampage

Anyone seen this? Guy is a total nuts and will be in serious **** when caught.
Hope is no one here.

BLKROKT 01-14-2018 05:26 PM

There are more cameras in Times Square than anywhere else in the world. It’s just a matter of time before they catch this moron and put him in jail for a long time. Attempted murder on a cop all over a burnout.

roadkillrob 01-14-2018 05:31 PM

Lame ass open diff burnout too, one tire fire/one wheel peel!

Get an LSD when you are out of prison.

Jasonoff 01-14-2018 06:03 PM

That person is getting "accidentally" shot...

Vladds 01-14-2018 06:19 PM

It's on ABC News channel 7.

BLKROKT 01-14-2018 06:26 PM

It’s everywhere

Black facelift C63 sedan with New York plates, split 5-spoke wheels, headers and red calipers. It’s not going to take long.....

At this point the guy would probably be better off turning himself in before they find him.....

Jasonoff 01-14-2018 07:14 PM

Was apparently on FB live last night.

Edit: fuk it, link not showing up...

CarHopper 01-14-2018 07:20 PM

The title of the thread this car should've been in is "FS: 2012+ c63. Needs new windshield and drivers seat due to bullet holes. Small stains."

MTV10 01-14-2018 08:25 PM

That cop is an idiot though. Standing in front of the car like that... he was asking to get run over.

No. wrong. I will not abide by this. That cop was doing his job to protect those that cannot protect themselves. He was obviously commanding the driver to stop or surrender or something. Bad guy tried to “assault” or “ attempted murder” him. LEOs get a bad rep. But that cop was not an idiot or “ asking for it”. He was trying to protect innocents while some asshat with a small dick and big motor tried to get hard without viagra. I’ve said enough. I’m obviously biased. This is a great AMG forum but I will not let stand comments bashing a cop trying to protect us from the real idiots.
Cheers and remember tomorrow is MLK day.

What a ****ing idiot, the ticket can't be as expensive as the damages to his car, jail time & cost of Legal fees.

Enjoy your newly f*cked life bro, you earned it.

Sorry, you don't stand in front of a car that is being driven erratically like that. All that does is escalate the situation, which is exactly what he did. Because of this, the driver panicked, took off and ran into a bunch of other cars trying to evade.... Putting innocent people's lives in jeopardy.

Yes he was doing his job... could he have handled the situation better? YES.

G_Money 01-14-2018 11:37 PM

Standing in front of the vehicle was probably not the smartest move, for the safety of the officer.

That being said, he should have aired out the driver the second he came at the officer. Ramming someone with a car is assault w/ a deadly weapon.

CarHopper 01-14-2018 11:38 PM

Easy to break things down in retrospect. Obviously nobody is going to stop a 4200lb car by putting their hands on the hood and planting their feet. If we're playing the woulda coulda shoulda I would've jumped up onto the hood on my knees, grabbed the end of the hood or a wiper, and stuck my pistol on the windshield giving him one last shot to stop. Still don't want to stop? Here, let me help you with that process.

Damn. I'm so cool in retrospect.

Or just jumped out of the way.

But what happened happened and that ship has sailed.

So let me get this straight.....

what your are saying is the a cop standing in front of a car "panicked" the driver? Why would he be panicked? So when a pedestrian crosses in front of this guys car the correct reaction is panic and lets run them over? No he "panicked" because he got caught being a complete and total moron and only made it worse by now, running over an officer, evading police arrest, probably running red lights, going the wrong direction against traffic, and hitting multiple cars in his escape.

Please please please don't try to defend the actions of this complete and utter moron. The cop did his job correctly by trying to stop him then and there. the CRIMINAL instead decided to try to run him over and put others in danger by ramming cars in his escape.

My only hope its that idiot "king of NYC" or whatever he is and he gets caught and taken off the road for good.

xEryx 01-14-2018 11:54 PM

I don't know but cops tend to do that kind of stuff... I've had an officer before jump in front of my car signaling me with his hand to stop because "I took that turn too aggressively and was probably doing close to 40" When I just turned and red lined 1st gear up to 30mph in a 25mph zone.

Were you doing a burnout in Time Square before hitting that corner?

I get what you're saying though. I was driving through a neighborhood in mine before and got a juicy snap from 1st to 2nd that prompted mom of the year to stand in the middle of the road with her arms outstretched. Couldn't even see me as it was a blind turn / hill so she looked pretty dumb once she realized how slow I was actually going.

Anywho. When he signaled you to stop, did you?

AMG3.2 01-15-2018 01:02 AM

Did anyone not see the gun drawn and pointed at the driver at the: 19-second mark? Obviously absolute moron of a driver so not defending anything he/she has done, but I'd assume that might have been the caused the freakout behavior and eventually evading the scene.

If only I had a C63 lol. Yeah I did of course and after a short conv “You have a very nice looking car, but there are people on the streets so show it off somewhere else yada yada” (I was driving through a busy intersection), he let me go. All I really did was make my car sound loud by hitting 6-7k on 1st :/

The way I see it, the freakout happened when the cop got in front of the car and put both hands on the hood... Well before the gun even came out. He didn't reach or pull his weapon until the driver was already running into him. Honestly, it appears as though if the cop had an extra 3-4 seconds to steady himself that driver would be dead or at least have a couple holes in him. Good on the officer for not firing without being in control but I'm willing to bet he was trying to and would have had he been able to actually gain control of his weapon and site in.

Edit: Not even. At 15 seconds the cop is simply pointing at the driver. 16 seconds he see's the driver doesn't intended to stop and the driver cuts the wheel to the right and accelerates hitting the cop and his instincts kick in to put his hands out. 3 more seconds of contact with the cop before the weapon is pulled out. At that point it's too late for the officer to get clean shots as he is on 1 foot being tossed off a vehicle at the 20 second mark.

And obviously he isn't going to get up and start shooting at that point in the middle of Time Square.

Yeah, well, obviously you're different than this guy because uh, he didn't stop for that friendly conversation.

a1rh3adsz 01-15-2018 01:49 AM

i think i remember a couple weeks ago i seen a post on Instagram, same car, same place but it was doing a standstill burnout before taking a right turn. You could see the car clearly

m a x i m u s 01-15-2018 02:41 AM

I wonder if the car was stolen. But then again, doing burnouts in Times Square in a stolen car is probably not the smartest thing to do.
