Has anyone done this, aside from Carlsson, Renntech, and PP Performance? Im seeing the intakes pop up on eBay for around $1-2000 lately...

Those SLS intakes you’re seeing are either incomplete or broken, you have to read the full description or ask the seller. skratch77 and I have been tracking these lately. There was a complete one about a month ago for like $3k and that’s about as good as it’s going to get.
There are a bunch of these monstrosities rolling around Germany. Do a search there are a ton of pics on here. It’s a lot of work, the tuning is tricky, and then you have to chop up your hood in a way that makes the car look ridiculous. For the probably $6k all-in it would cost to get it working right, for like 30whp, you could be 75% of the way towards a supercharger which would give you 3x+ more power. It’s really not worth it.

PP Performance was claiming 605rwhp.
I'm just trying to explore all possible NA avenues before supercharging.

You're not getting to 605rwhp naturally aspirated with the SLS intake without a 75hp shot of nitrous

According to various news articles and forum posts at the time (2013), the PP Performance car with the SLS intake dynoed at 605hp at the crank on a Maha LPS3000. That’s not really an impressive figure anymore, and there are much easier ways to get there now.

Sounds like a lot of work and coin for 30 more whp. I'd say save the money. Do the "tried and true" then if you still want those extra 30 whp. Try the underdrive pulley and the you know what.
