C63 Newbie Hello!! Pics... more to follow and coding rear SAM!!
Newbie hello here, I知 from London but moved to TN a year ago. I have a C63 which i have made a few mods to, comments welcome! I want to put 2012 tail lights on it so looking to get the rear SAM coded too from what I知 reading...
Thanks, I dechromed it incl exhaust tips and badges etc and realised it needed color! So went with F1 AMG Petronas Green ����

What year is your car? 2008/2009 SAM's can be coded. 2010/2011 cannot.
Just get the Depo's on Ebay, they are plug n play. work flawlessly and look identical to OEM.
Interesting, mine is an 09 so i guess can be coded but I was going to do some research on those Depos as they look same in pics, I just wanted to see if they really are identical in real life, especially when illuminated. I actually want orange turn signals too as will take the car to the UK when I go home at some point. I will look at them and see, thanks!

I think that your registration office will check your car and put black beam pattern stickers on your headlights.

Most cars in Europe have an adjustment to go from left to right but I haven稚 checked yet if the W204 in the US has the facility. Worst case scenario is I値l have to fit new UK headlights.

I wanted HID headlights on my Subaru. They were only made for RHD cars, as Japan is RHD, everyone else got halogen.
So, in order to get the headlight beam to be good for the US use, I bought beam cut off shields made via CAD-CAM out of Aluminum by a guy in Latvia. He digitized the factory shields, used the mirror function in CAD, then made them with the CAM component on a CNC machine.
These things took 8 weeks to come to the US from Latvia.

You’ll also need to ensure that the US car can be adequately (and economically) converted to UK/EU emission and safety standards. May not be as easy as you think. Many years ago I looked into bringing my 996TT back to the States with me from the UK, and the costs involved were staggering.

Yes I will check it out but I壇 be surprised if it doesn稚 already conform to UK emissions. I could see that being an issue going the other way from EU to certain US states like California though as they have crazy emissions laws
